The best bakery/pâtisserie in the area. But you usually can't get any goodies from this location this is the actual bakery and not the sales location (except during the covid-19 quarantine times). Their normal point of sale is a few blocks away on N Santa Cruz and Bachman.

This is the kind of pricey place housewives who married for money go to assuage their broken dreams in between Prozac and glasses of obscure-sounding wine. If ever there was laudanum for the soul, this would be it: soulless, overpriced, presenting the ordinary (it's just bread, coffee, and pastries) as spectacular. (April 2019)

They hadn't even baked it by my birthday, let alone shipped it. There's no way to communicate the date you need the cake when ordering...which is really odd for a bakery that ships. While they did refund the money, there was no apology, only a defensive declaration of their policies which are not readily displayed when ordering. An

Bread heaven! Amazing kouign amann, the buttery flakiest croissants, the best Lavin, and that chocolate panettone! No trip to Los Gatos is complete without visiting them. Best of the best! Come to San Diego please!

OK can now say we now have a great bread bakery but get there early.... after 12 noon all shopped out. Need to work on the German style sportbrot sesame seeds needed to be toasted first. White sandwich bread was divine for making classic toad in hole for brunch this am!!!
