A great home town restaurant with local vibes, great food and warm but sophisticated ambiance. Everything is a few cuts above the norm.
Our favorite place! Amazing food, fantastic wine, great atmosphere.
One of my favorites, all around, in Los Gatos. It's usually hard to get into so plan ahead.
Considered by many to be the best place in a town full of good restaurants. Great food. Comfortable ambiance. Excellent waitstaff. Nick is a legend and a great guy as well.
Incredible! Never been here before but boy, am I glad I came. The menu keeps things simple with a handful of items in each category, but each looks to die for. I got the duck confit - savory, unbelievably tender, delicious take on cornbread with Italian sausage, and perfect brussel sprouts. On top of the flavor, you're presented with very generous portions, and the price doesn't break the bank at all. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly, knowledgeable as well! Thank
I love to go to Nick's on a date with my husband or with friends. The food is excellent, especially the meatloaf and the chocolate mousse. The team is dedicated and fun.
Experience making reservation took four calls and dealing with a woman with an attitude.....(why oh why can they not subscribe to OpenTable!?) Everything else was great. We usually have steaks here but this time I tried the salmon and risotto, my significant other had scallops. We shared a bottle of Goldeneye pinot noir- it was all lovely. Popular spot so always crowded but we arrived a little early and seated right away which was unexpected and appreciated as it was a chilly Saturday evening.
I must admit I went with "apriori" (negative impression). It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. They don't try too much, which is appreciated. Often, I feel oppressed in high end restaurant where the service is supposed to be done without asking. Nick' staff is available without being overwhelming. The food was appropriately presented and in a decent quantity with an above average taste. I will go back !
The food was good, but the service had some puzzling lapses in the form of delays. We were seated outside on a very cold night, and the staff was distracting by having a lot of trouble lighting a couple of the burners. The noise from some raucous other diners was so loud we had to yell to hear each other. The outside area is a dilapidated canvas tent with fogged up and torn plastic windows repaired with duct tape. The floor was concrete. As we were leaving I envied the diners inside, as that area looked far more inviting and peaceful. I felt the irony of paying the same prices as they did, given the misery of the experience. There was also no parking spots available so we had to park a ways away and walk. I wouldn't go back unless I was guaranteed a spot inside, especially in the winter.
Owner Rude!

Upscale and pricey but great food with a local vibe
Great ambiance & delicious food!!
Rather limited menu, but the entrees they serve us were abundant and very tasty. Definitely will return, especially for the vodka martini.
Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Every meal is delicious and unique.
