Experience making reservation took four calls and dealing with a woman with an attitude.....(why oh why can they not subscribe to OpenTable!?) Everything else was great. I must admit I went with "apriori" (negative impression). It turned out to be a very pleasant experience. They don't try too much, which is appreciated. Often, I feel oppressed in high end restaurant where the service is supposed to be done without asking. Nick' staff is available without being overwhelming. The food was appropriately presented and in a decent quantity with an above average taste. I will go back !
The food was good, but the service had some puzzling lapses in the form of delays. We were seated outside on a very cold night, and the staff was distracting by having a lot of trouble lighting a couple of the burners. The noise from some raucous other diners was so loud we had to yell to hear each other. The outside area is a dilapidated canvas tent with fogged up and torn plastic windows repaired with duct tape. The floor was concrete. As we were leaving I envied the diners...
