This is an amazing place. Delicious, authentic Basque cuisine from San Sebastián (Basque region in northern Spain. An incredible selection of Pintxo (tapas), coupled with unparalleled service by Hector, Anjie and their staff. This is definitely our new go to Basque restaurant.
Quaint neighborhood eaterie. Comfortable seating at either tables or at the bar. Just a few folks on staff, but were in constant purposeful motion taking care of all the customers, walking through and explaining the menu. The tapas were excellent, just note anything with anchovies were salty (as to be expected). The rib eye was so tender and delicious. It takes a while to prepare, so order it immediately. A wonderful experience. We'll certainly return. Prices are on the high side.

Four of us dined on an early Saturday evening. We started with the tabla kursaal-a sampler of iberico meats and Spanish cheeses, along with all four of the starters (olives, bread, etc.) A great starting point. All of the anchovy dishes were outstanding, especially when paired with the bonito tuna belly. The bacon wrapped date stuffed with almond also an outstanding dish. The potato and onion omelet was perfect for splitting four ways. A nice bottle of white wine went nicely with the salty and flavorful dishes. The warm flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and rasberry coulis delicious and just right for sharing. Our waitress discussed all aspects of the menu and answered all questions. A perfect hostess! Another excellent experience at PintxoPote!!
Delicious meal with wonderful attention to details & service. It's our go to for dinner in Los Gatos.
We went here to take our friend out for her birthday. The food was delicious and reminded me of being back in Spain. Where I believe the owners are from. They had a good Spanish wine selection, there were kinds I had never heard of. If you're adventurous (which I'm not in this regard), they also have several great anchovy dishes to choose from. The service was a little slow, considering that it wasn't a very busy mid-week night. That would be the thing I would say they could work on is to have a designated server. Maybe they do on the weekends, I'm not sure since it was my first time here. They did forget to put our second course of tapas in and had to come back to re-take the order. My friend has two kids under 10 who came, it might not be the most kid friendly place. But it was entertaining and I think a good experience for them overall to try different food. Best things to order in my opinion: - Albondigas (so good!) - Shrimp skewers - Delicias (stuffed dates!!) - Rack of Lamb (they did give us a 2 extra slices I think to make up for things) - Chocolate cake Overall I would go again, maybe they just need some time to iron out their service a little. Definitely unique and more authentic options compared to other tapas restaurants, which always seem to have the same dishes.
I want some quick and light dinner after a heavy lunch. This seems to be a perfect tapa place. I would recommend anchovies with tuna but anchovies with olives were way too salty. Bacon wrapped dates bruschetta and mushroom grilled were also tasty. Stay away from the Iberia ham 4-6 pieces for more than $36 is too pricey and can be eaten in a lot of places at much lower price. BTW The olive oil is also very very good. Unfortunately the bread to dip in is too plain. I almost feel maybe I should just drink the EV oil. Hahaha

Rarely does a restaurant exceed in every category. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The food was a true representation of the San Sebastian region. Angie, the chef owner's wife, was like the dearest of friends welcoming you to her table. Don't be intimidated by food you don't know. She will put your mind at ease with the thorough explanations. And when the server delivers it, he will explain how best to capture the flavors of the dish. Perfectly portioned, perfectly paced it was the best dining experience we've had in ages. Cannot wait to return knowing they will greet you like family. Sit at the counter. Order the different types of anchovies. And the ribeye beef, while the highest priced item on the menu, was the most superb piece of meat I've ever eaten. It was cooked to perfection. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy an exquisite meal, and not feel rushed. Please go and support this outstanding restaurant. There were only a handful of people there on a Thursday night which was so sad given the hidden gem this restaurant is. Hector and Angie, top toque, 3 stars, James Beard finest, S Pellegrino #1 and all other accolades. You so deserve it.
This restaurant is our favorite. Unique tastes of Spain. Small bites that burst with flavors. The wine list has some incredible selections. Hector and Angie as well as Juan Carlos make you feel at home and are very helpful in assisting newcomers with the menu. I highly recommend Pintxo Pote.
This is our favorite place in the area! The variety of flavors is outstanding. We like all of the items on the menu but specifically cold pinxos. Sometimes they have seasonal dishes like peppers or toast with tomato and those are amazing! Food is very consistently great and we leave very satisfied and happy every time! We bring all our guests and friends here and always have memorable experience.
Pinto Poxte has the fantastic service, an amazing food and wine selection. Tortilla de patatas beats one in Spain. Jamón ibérico, other tapas and pintos are made freshly, from great ingredients. The staff makes you feel like visiting old friends, not just random restaurant

Awesome. Felt like I was in the basque region - food so delicious, owners very warm and inviting.
Angie and Hector (the owners) make their restaurant a wonderful, welcoming and fun place to be. And the food was EXCELLENT!
Great tapas, wonderful service, highly recommend
There are a many good restaurants in Los Gatos…not many make you feel like you are on vacation abroad with amazing food and hyper personalized service- even if you can still see your local Walgreens across the street. Anchovies are not my immediate go to, but given how prominent they were on the menu, I gave them a shot and wasn’t disappointed. It was the difference between food that tastes generically good and food that feels deliberate, flavorful, and thought-provoking.
We’ll definitely be back!
Wonderful food and service. The level of care and passion is evident. I've been here 3x's and have enjoyed each. I'm pledging to go more frequently!
