My son loves their BBB Pork sandwich and Tomato soup combo and we get it for him at least once a week now. I usually get their vegetarian sandwich and they are delicious. Also the croissant is enormous. I did try their cappuccino and it was not great but it wasn’t terrible. But as ya’all know the cappuccino can taste vastly different based on who makes it so I think it’s okay for me.I have dined in, did multiple take outs, and usually get them delivered.

Great place to have coffee and breakfast after a long hike on Sunday morning. I should do this more often.

A great place for a quick bite and/or coffee. The menu is varied. A plus is a fair amount of inside seating and plenty of natural light. ?️ can be tight during peak hours.

Purple Onion is in a very nice location on Main Street in Downtown Los Gatos, perfect for sitting & watching the world go by while you eat. The food is very fresh. The California taco salad, egg & bacon breakfast sandwich and turkey cranberry sandwich are excellent. The grilled veggie focaccia was very fresh, but could have used some seasoning. Easily solved with a bit of salt & pepper, though. Overall, strong recommend for this lovely little lunch spot.Parking: Parking can be difficult on the weekends, weekdays you can usually find a close spot.

This has been one of my go-to brunch/lunch restaurants in all of Los Gatos!! I always get the Chicken Cabbage Salad and it is fantastic every time! The portion is quite large so I normally split it with a friend. The picture of the salad I included shows the split portion of the salad. The tomato soup is so smooth and tasty and is perfect for a cold, rainy day. I recommend getting a side of bread because their rolls are to die for, I love them so much!! They have both inside and outside tables so when the weather is nice the outside tables are always packed. At this restaurant you order up at the counter, they give you a buzzer and will buzz you when your food is ready for pick up at the counter.

Was recommended this place by a friend, and was throughly disappointed. The "chai latte" pictured was milk with hints of chai prosciutto flat bread was yummy just not what I thought it would be. Almond croissant was dry and hard, so we didn't finish it. We went on a Saturday around noon and it wasn't too busy but they forgot our third drink and had to go back and ask for it. Parking is always difficult downtown. For the location the food and drinks disappointed. It was pretty lively and had what seemed like a lot of regulars so maybe I'm missing something?

I came here to get lemon bars and they don't have any today so I'm ordering vegetable soup instead. I'm also having a Matcha latte. This is a nice little neighborhood coffee place. The soup needs salt It's pretty healthy though. Good start to my day in Los Gatos.

BEST PULLED PORK SANDWICH IN THE WORLD!!!! Expensive but still love it!!!!! I like their soup and salad too. No frills little sandwich place but totally worth a try!

Food was tasty but I have a major business ethics bone to pick with them. Figured out that when you select the tip percentage when paying that is calculating the tip amount based on the food total plus the tax. They should not be collecting a tip on the tax amount. This is probably illegal, and at a minimum very sleazy.

Oh man, the chicken sandwich was bad! I had high hopes but it was pretty terrible. To the point where I'm taking it home to see if I can add something to salvage it. It had no flavor, I added extra basil and tomatoes to see if they would help and they didn't. The chicken was bone dry- I chugged a can of sparkling water after each bite to wash it down. The cashier asked if I wanted a salad or soup when I ordered and I said sure! Then he said that was an extra charge so I declined. The side salad that came with it was fresh but maybe just spritzed with oil because it had no flavor at all. The chicken sandwich said it costs 15.95 but it was a dollar more when I was charged. Way overpriced for such a terrible sandwich. The ambiance here is nice though, right in the heart of downtown with plenty of seating. I might be back but I don't think I'd ever order a sandwich here again.

Had the cabbage and chicken salad, big portion and delicious! They have sidewalk seating which is great on a sunny day. Also found some magnesium drinks in their canned selection which was cool. I didn't taste them, but they had pot pies on display that looked delicious. Next time.

The service is usually great here, but I have caught them on some off days with less than attentive staff. There's always ample seating even when it's busy, which is always a plus. The food is always good, but I feel like there could be a little more flavor and options for dietary restricted customers. The consistency of the food and location to hiking trails on Los Gatos is what keeps bringing me back here.

We used to like here because Good location and we'd go after hike. but be aware they are not dog friendly as noted on the app. We tried to go in to order food and drink but a staff told us our dog needs to stay outside at patio , she then made a face and repeated herself again when we hesitated to decide who stay out with pups .if you go by yourself with dog don't go to this place.
