Reggae Pot

I had a hankering for Jamaican food and wanted to try something authentic. This place intrigued me because it had oxtail, goat curry and ackee. I got there on the late side -- it closes at 6:00 pm, so not much was still available. Ackee and saltfish, oxtail, and chicken were all that was left. This is a small place hidden behind the McDonald's. I got takeout, but there were a few other folks sitting at the half dozen tables. The place is clean with nice ambiance, a Jamaican map and a few posters on the walls. The combo curried goat and j*** chicken plate is what I got. It came with plantain and rice and peas. Gluten free friendly!! Employees were very friendly and helpful. The meat portion size is big! Their corn bread is gluten free and vegan and is so good!! The rice and beans and plantains were ok but wasn't a huge fan. I would still definitely come here again!
