Easy to locate different products. Cashier is helpful if any issues at self checkout.
A clean store with a nice Deli section
They are not open 24 hours, they should remove this from Google maps.
It’s Safeway, alright. Limited street-level parking (-1 star), but plenty of space one level down.
There were no eggs on at least 2-3 occasions in the last month, while all other neighborhood groceries still carry them.
Just another Safeway that you find in any City. The plus point is after several visits over the years you become friends with some of the cashiers, pharmacists.
It is a normal Safeway. It is nice that it is open 24 hours a day.
Good grocery store with friendly workers! Came through with school donations and really helped us in a pinch.
In my opinion it is understaffed but very helpful

The best part of Los Gatos. I miss you every day, 24-hour Safeway.
I have many of my fondest memories here. 3am visits. Running into people from high school. Playing Monopoly with a friend by the elevators.
Thanks for your accessibility with food and alcohol many years ago, when I was a troubled teenager.
I won't forget you or your unlocked side door.
I will never come back to this location. I was waiting at the Deli department for a very long time. A lady named Raquel passed by me twice while making eye contact with me and she never came to help me nor did she ever communicate to me that she would be helping me or that she was busy. Instead, she was in the back with some other ladies and not one of them ever acknowledged me either. Why are these people even hired for ?? Also, it’s very unsanitary to be eating the food while prepping it!! I don’t think this place enforces any rules!!
Beautifully run store
Thank goodness something is open 24 hrs in los gatos!
I am writing to express my disappointment in the service provided at our Los Gatos location on April 13th. Normally, I wouldn't send my husband, who is unfamiliar with grocery shopping protocols, but on this day he took on the task. Unfortunately, his experience at the self-checkout, particularly while purchasing a bottle of wine, was far from welcoming.
The manager on duty approached my husband with a remark suggesting he should have known better than to attempt to purchase wine at the self-checkout. Following this, he was informed in a tone that was less than professional, to "chill out" and that he needed to buy two bottles instead of one, without a clear explanation.
As customers, we expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of our familiarity with store policies. The interaction was not only unprofessional but also left us feeling unwelcome and unlikely to return for future shopping needs.
I also want to share another unprofessional behavior by the same manager, which raises concerns about professionalism at this store. My husband witnessed the manager was juggling lemons and limes in the produce section, engaging employees in this behavior rather than focusing on customer service. This display was not only inappropriate but also indicative of poor managerial conduct and a lack of proper training. Such actions can detract from the shopping experience and undermine the professionalism expected at a reputable store like Safeway.
I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the training and customer service.
