I thought that Safeway on Almaden & Cherry was the worst shopping experience I've ever had until i decided to pick up a few items here at LG . Since I was here to pick up a script ( follow the pharmacist they are the only reason I walk into a Safeway, grocery shopping done everywhere else ) I was introduced to the most unprofessional POS running the front end . Didnt get her name but the girl with face piercings and she had no idea what she is doing but carried a major attitude . I guess Safeway gets what they pay for " the clueless uneducated "

I go there occasionally it's a good location for the few things I need but what is with that one worker who is at the register younger guy with a beard he's always in a foul mood very unpleasant obviously has a bad attitude and is miserable. This guy really should be not working with the public.

I am very disappointed that this is our neighborhood Safeway. It is the worst Safeway I've ever shopped at. The produce is always horrible and they're always out of stuff. I was picking out mozzarella and noticed two of them expired 7 days ago. I told the lady stocking the cheese and her reply was, "it's only been a few days". Gross !! After an awkward moment of silence she replied "thank you" and removed the expired cheese. Everything is wrong with this store. Rude flower department and no one is ever in the back to help with meat. Everyone in the neighborhood talks about how bad this store is. Safeway do better !

Deli is fantastic. We ordered Fried chicken and potato wedges. Hot and fresh. The bakery never disappoints with a wide variety of goodies.

Apple Maps states the store is open 24 hours, Safeway's own website says the store is open 24 hours. There are no signs posted on the store stating limited hours of operations and no signs on the glass stating they are closing early. Here I am, almost 1AM, locked out when I urgently need to grab something. What a disappointment.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I hope that the management reads this and takes the time to reach out to me. I am not sure where to reach out to in regard to my concern.On December 15th I placed an order for multi colored cupcakes on the Safeway website. They were ready in time on the 16th, but when I arrived, they were the wrong colors. It is a small thing and seems silly to complain about- but I ordered red and green, and receive white and brown. The gal at the bakery told me I needed to leave notes on my online order, and it does not matter what color the photo on the website was. Ok, lesson learned.The very next day I returned to the store to pickup the screen-printed cake I'd ordered two weeks before. When I arrived, the gal (who I initially had placed the order with) informed me we had a problem, and essentially that problem was that the screen printer was broken and we could not have the cake we'd ordered for my child's birthday. This is not anyone's fault, and I did not get upset. However I found it odd nobody contacted me ahead of time to let me know. We chose a generic frosting pattern for our cake, which they started to assemble in front of me. We walked away for about twenty minutes and returned for the cake. At this time I saw my son's name was misspelled. Again, I figured these ladies were having a rough day, I didn't want to make a fuss.However, when we got home for the actual party, we discovered our cake was not only not the white cake with lemon filling we'd ordered, it was in fact something else. It was completely and totally saturated in liquid. When we cut it and tried to serve it, it leaked off of the silverware. (Someone at the party said it had the consistency of a very liquidy tres leches cake, so maybe they gave me the wrong cake?) Anyways, it was essentially inedible, and truly the icing on the cake after repeated series of errors. I'd like a refund for the $30 I spent on the cake which we were not able to eat. Everyone has rough days and I don't want to get anyone in trouble, however this put me off from ordering from their bakery ever again, which is a shame because they are so close.

Lied about their hours.Used to be open 24 hours changed to 12 AM (Midnight) closing time. Stopped by there last night Thursday October 27, 2022, around 11PM, doors were already locked.

We are BEYOND DISAPPOINTED with the floral departments At BOTH Los Gatos Safeways!! The absolute WORST!IThree weeks ago, My daughter called to order a boutonnière for her date to their high school dance. At the first call to the N. Santa Cruz Ave Safeway, the floral department, said "sorry, we won't have staff that day." I said, "really? For the Los Gatos high school Coro, you won't be bringing anyone in?" She said, "nope. No orders" So, we called the Union Ave Safeway and placed our order over the phone. She went to pick it up today and it was not there, nor any record of her order. The person working in the department was fairly indifferent, said "sometimes this happens with phone orders, oh well." and gave zero problem solving suggestions. I kept asking for possible other solutions and he Just kept telling us he was out of everything. We even offered to buy the components to make it ourselves and he kept saying, "sorry, I'm out." He had a full bouquet of roses and would not even sell us one to make our own boutonnière.Zero compassion, zero empathy and Rock bottom customer service. Luckily my husband quickly darted to a nearby florist, Best Floral on Branham, who saved the day. She was delightful and amazing.Needless to say we will be hard pressed to purchase anything from any Safeway in the near future. Plenty of grocery shopping options around that offer customer service and quality way better than Safeway.

We had the worst experience with the cake designer. We went there the day before to have a cake with our son’s photo printed on the cake. They suggested to come early morning on the next day (witch was the party day) to discuss with the cake designer.We did that, and then we went to pick up the cake. It wasn’t ready, she didn’t even start yet. After waiting for 1.5 hours (she said it will be ready in 20 minutes, and then another 20 minutes), we went home and in the middle of the party, we realized she put the actual photo on the white cake. It looked really stupid
