Ambiance was lovely outside as always... although the flies and gnats were a bit intense during our meal (not that we blame the restaurant for that). The food was just “meh” ... many of the dishes we have enjoyed in the past are no longer on the menu, so choices were limited. Gluten friendly options are available, but there aren't as many as there once were. Two of us got the wedge salad and added steak and chicken (respectively) - the steak was quite good, but definitely order the dressing for the salad on the side as they really poured it on! We also got the fish tacos and thought those were good.

Always have a relaxed and wonderful experience at the Palms. The Pan-Asian menu is consistently delicious! And creative cocktail menu including a rum old fashioned - you can’t go wrong. The unique outdoor setting is a perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening ! Highly recommend!!!

Love the ambiance- absolutely beautiful! Servers were nice and accommodating Food were delicious - servings were big I was surprised to see on their menu my favorite island food. Definitely will go back again and will recommend to my friends.

Really wanted to love this place but it just wasn't up to par. Sat outside because that was really where they were putting folks. We were bothered by flies and yellow jacket wasps the entire time. Inside only had people at the bar. Ordered drinks and appetizers. The calamari was very tough to eat the few rings that we had amongst the deep fried carrots and jalapeños (weird mix) drinks were ok but we have had better sangria at home. Main course was filets that were requested to be medium but both came out with well done. Had to ask where the mash potatoes were and they followed a little later. The bus boy was the best of the servers all the rest need to coached. Don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

Food was not up to par at the price level of menu items. I don't think we will be returning. Great ambience and location during summer months when sitting outside. Piano player was just awful though.

Amateur hour! Hostess in jeans with holes (cute but very unprofessional), offered one drink while here for 2 hours. Food order was allMixed up! Busboy Dumping water glasses into the bushes. And who serves a Sunday brunch with ZERO fruit available! Sent out an egg white omelette for ($20) with NOTHING on the plate because we have no fruit!??….such a strange morning!

awesome

My husband and I had a horrible experience last night. We live locally and love dining and supporting our town but we will not be coming back. We ordered edamame as appetizers which were half edamame and half over cooked snow peas (?). My husband had the poke and he said not only was it just bad but the rice was very under cooked. I had the daily fish which was fine except the sides had no flavor whatsoever. To make it worse, our cocktails were even bad! I have had that same cocktail before and it was good but last night something was really off with the whole experience. Our server was very nice and professional I have to say. Overall, I would not come back when there are so many great restaurants to choose from in Los Gatos.

On the minus side: 1) Ordered a $52 medium ribeye steak. It arrived rare. 2) Staff was uncoordinated: wavered randomly between no service or two different people redundantly providing water, later two providing a replacement fork, then still later two working on the check. On the plus side: 1) The $44 chilean sea bass my wife ordered was excellent. 2) The complimentary anniversary desert was a nice touch. I do not plan to return.

We ate on the front patio. It was a very pleasant place to eat. We were just off of the sidewalk, so it was busy, but not distracting until a guy came along with a wagon full of puppies. They were cute and as I said, distracting, but better behaved than a couple of the dogs on the restaurant patio who seemed to need to bark whenever a dog walker went by on the sidewalk. Food ranged from excellent to okay. The sliders were very good, the salmon and caesar salad excellent, and I wouldn't get the guacamole again. Prices were reasonable, and we were surprised that we'd showed up at happy hour.

Very disappointed. I don't know if the owner changed recently but this place is not anymore what it use to be. Pinacolada is not good. Mojito does barely have mint. Food is not excellent and prices are high. I won't come back.

I want to share my experience. I had reservations for a party of 6 at 5:45 tonight. Everything was confirmed. At 4:45 I received a call that the restaurant was closed since someone bought out the venue so my reservations were cancelled ?.I realize that circumstances happen, but to be told an hour before, is inexcusable and very poor relations with their customers. I hope the management realizes Los Gatos is a small community and word gets around quickly

Palms is a beautiful setting to eat and drink. Good deals on happy hour drinks, but not a lot of good food selections. I had Chilean Sea Bass and it wasn't that great, dry. Mine is so much better and my expectation when I dine out, especially in Los Gatos is that I have really good food! My friend ordered pasta with chicken and chicken slices were so thin, so basically eating pasta. Crème Brûlée top was burned in center and not crunchy on outer edge. How can you mess up this simple dessert???

We recently dined at the Palms and sat outside. While we had an small issue with overcooked sliders our server Joseph made up for it! He was attentive, friendly and just overall great!

Ate outdoors with out of town guests. Had a LOVELY meal, weather was perfect. Guacamole appetizer was fabulous. Fresh fish and fish tacos excellent. The Hula Pie dessert was fabulous.

Took about 15 minutes to get our drink. The server came to ask how everything was finally and I asked if we could order ?‍♀️ We got our food by a food runner the server never returned I asked another server for salt Finally our server returned I asked for the receipt 15 minutes later she was strolling by and I asked agin I have bad days too and waited tables for 30 years so don't like to criticize servers but you need to get more help or something We won't be back Maybe one of the two hostess can help the server
