We recently stopped by Bar 99 on our way back to Chico. It was a Saturday afternoon at around 4pm. Weary and thirsty after a 5-mile hike and a couple hours behind the wheel. We were looking for a classic dive bar to grab a couple of drinks. Bar 99 was exactly what we were looking for.
