A must see in Los Olivos. What a nice experience with the beautiful art labels and delicious wines. Such a nice variety of quality wines. My wife and I loved it. we will be back with friends for a group tasting and painting.

Ryan helped us discover new wines and understood our taste. I really recommend you visit Ryan at Artiste.

I have been to Artiste twice this fall. They offer a casual wine tasting experience with exceptional wine blends. We were served by Ryan who was very knowledgeable but not pretentious! This place is a true gem in Los Olivos!

Great wine. Lovely host. Ran into Bion at the tasting room. Check it out!

My partner and I sat outdoors. Ryan recommended a few wines which were absolutely delightful! He was knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. If you happen to be in the area, do yourself a favor and drop in!

Love this winery!! Was sad to see Ashley and David didn't greet us when I went to pick up my shipment because they are no longer there. They have always made our experience amazing with their fun/bubbly personalities and our favorite part...their personally picked out cheeses to do wine and cheese pairings!! But...one of my girlfriends recommended we try Refugio Ranch winery and ... guess who greeted us!! Ashley!!! still love artiste wine though!!

I wish I could give zero. Ashley is rude and the best wine ever couldn’t make up for the nonsense from her. I witnessed her treating members very poorly and the owners need to know that she is driving out business. Avoid this place - too many great places with nice people and great service. If you join be prepared to be disappointed!

What a lovely experience Artiste Winery & Tasting Studio was.I set off in the morning with 2 friends and a pup-friend to arrive at the 11 AM open-time. Even though help was already being given to others upon arriving, David & Ashley warmly welcomed us with a smile. The introduction was more of a 'getting to know each other' rather than a 'how can i serve you? I'm only here because it's my job' and I appreciated that. After a nice chat we were shown around the intimate and carefully-curated studio. The concept of this place is really lovely. The artwork and the artists are just as much a part of this experience as the wine and food pairings which really set this winery apart from others. The ambience was great and we had the ability to kind of choose a more lively atmosphere out in front with many folks walking around town or in the more private area in the back where a lot of bottles/artwork were on display. We ended up choosing the back that morning just because we wanted to have a more private tasting and really get to know the story behind the current artist/artwork and the wine & food and we got that in spades with David as our guide.A common theme at Artiste is pairings: The pairing of the artist & the artwork, the artwork & the wine, the wine & the food, yourself & those you choose to come with, yourself & the wine, yourself & the experience, David & Ashley. The pairing of myself & Artiste Winery will be one that will stand the test of time. As I was taking in the wine I couldn't help but already be thinking of the different friends and family members I would be inviting and sharing the next tasting with. The E after Artist in Artiste must stand for ecstasy because 'I Can't Stop Raving' about this place. Looking forward to my next visit!

Artiste is not just another tasting room, it's an experience. I love how the different wine series feature artists. The staff do an amazing job of taking you along with the story of the art influenced wine. Must stop by and do a wine tasting with Ashley!

We visited Artiste for our 1 year anniversary and had a magical time! We have done so many tastings and this has been probably our #1 favorite. They pair wines with specific cheeses and it's phenomenal. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Los Olivos.

If you want the full experience, come and get your tasting with Ashley. Not only is she extremely personable, but she is also a sommelier! The amount of knowledge she has is absolutely incredible! As an added bonus each label is an actual work of art. Most labels are in the tasting room to be viewed and are absolutely incredible! I wish I could purchase all of them. Now to the wines. You need to come for a tasting. Each one is sos special, and there is something for everyone. The Chardonnay is not typical of what you would think. It is crisp without a lot of smoky notes. Very drinkable. All the reds are good, and would require more space and time to hit all their qualities. Suffice to say, there is something for everyone.

Try your skills at being wine maker for the day at Artiste! What a fun experience! Enjoyed learning about blending wine. Artiste has a unique approach to wine making starting with creative label artwork. The art defines the wine! I loved every ounce of the experience and was thrilled with Coterie’s second place rating in the blind taste test out of 30+ blends.

The wine blending experience is terrific! It's a great idea for a bachelorette or birthday party--we went as a wine tasting group (Inside Wine Santa Barbara Meetup) and really enjoyed it. It started with a taste of their chardonnay and an explanation of how winemaker Bion Rice sources and blends his wines, then we were given bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot (the principal varietals in Bordeaux wines) with graduated cylinders to mix and taste different ratios of the wines. We made our own wine labels and got to bottle our blend to take home, including waxing the cork. The wines are delicious, high-quality wines and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back and tell my friends about this special place.

My partner and I have passed by Artiste countless times in downtown Los Olivos, perhaps with the preconceived notion that it would be kitschy. Wow, were we mistaken! The name says it all: "Winery and Tasting Studio." When you step in the door there is a tasting counter and art for sale. Be sure to continue on into the back room which is a gorgeous, modern art studio/museum. Hidden around a wall to the back right is a beautiful room filled from floor to ceiling with every library wine. We decided to enjoy our tasting in here in awe of all the amazing art and colorful wax corks. We cannot say enough for Ashley our sommelier--and of course we can't forget David! Ashley gave us a quick tour of the space and told us the unique story of Artiste. The artists who create the labels on their bottles are unique, as is the wine blend that is made to match the art on the bottle. From an artist who paints with boiled red wine, to one who lost his vision, the wine varies drastically. We were impressed that they follow no 'rules' but also offer some super unique varietals. There are no two bottles, blends or art label alike. Artiste offers a cheese pairing which truly alters the flavors of the wine. Their white wines were surprisingly palatable. Our favorite wines during our tasting, based on the art AND our palates (we are fans of red blends), were the: - Ladera Floral (28% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Pinot Noir, 20% Merlot) - Inflorescence (50% Grenache, 40% Cabernet Franc, 10% Syrah) - Island Dream (56% Petit Sirah, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon) - Tropical Cloud (43% Malbec, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Grenache) We appreciate that all their bottles are made to rest for some time, but can also be popped open and drank at any moment. The bottles are fabulous to display on your bar or in your wine collection for a talking point too. We will definitely be returning to Artiste down the road.

Words cannot describe enough my obsession with this place. Their red blends are absolutely phenomenal. Ashley is an absolute gem and is sooo knowledgeable about wine and her wine pairings with cheese are so delicious. I've been a member for several years and have brought several friends with us to wine taste, and about 10 different couples have become wine members, based on their experience. While it's not on a large vineyard property, do not let that hinder you!! You will get more attention here, a more personalized wine tasting experience and by far, better wine.
