Beautiful property, great service and delicious wine ?

Was very disappointed with the lack of customer services and welcome from an over worked and understaff team that had little to know knowledge of what the wine tasting clientele enjoy in a day of wine tasting!

This was our first time going wine tasting in Los Olivos, and Demetria Estate came highly recommended. It is absolutely beautiful here, and the perfect place for a relaxing wine tasting! You get to sit outside, and you have a magnificent view of the estate grounds. Delicious wine, fresh air, and lovely surroundings - what could be better? They also allow you to bring in outside food, so you can bring in your own snacks or meal to enjoy while drinking your wine. It was super busy when we were there, and they only had one person working. Definitely could've used more staff, but he made it work and was still super friendly while doing it. The wine here was excellent. Really enjoyed the Syrah. Definitely recommend making reservations, especially if you have a larger party. The last 2 miles to the winery is essentially a one-car road that goes both ways, so just make sure you drive carefully. A great choice for a highly-enjoyable wine tasting.

One of my favorite and most beautiful properties. Great wine , off the charts staff and customer service. Our best find! Honored to be a wine club member !

What a beautiful setting! We had been meaning to come here for so long but it's a bit off the beaten path and kept getting pushed on prior trips. So glad we prioritized it this trip! The wine was great and Nick provided wonderful service, easily convincing us to join the wine club. Definitely worth the drive for the wine and the views.

We didn't have reservation, but they let us to sit in a nice separate place. Staff are super nice and gave us coupons for our next visit. Excellent quality wine! We purchased 6 bottles to take home.

Off the beaten path and we’ll worth the drive. Logan was our tasting guide and a great one at that! He really went the extra mile to ensure we had a fun and memorable experience. The grounds and views were beautiful.

One of my top favorite wineries in all of California! Outstanding wines, wonderful staff, beautiful views and just an overall amazing experience. Will be back again soon!

I had visited this winery years ago. I was so excited to go again. I was a beautiful Monday afternoon and we decided to take my mother-in-law for her 80th. When we arrive it was pretty quiet. We waited on the patio for seating. After a few minutes, I walked inside to see if there was anyone to help us. There was a young man in the kitchen area, He didn't really engage, and was completely uninterested that we were there for a tasting. He made no effort to tell us anything about the winery. He was so rude and uninterested in having us there. He barely spoke to us and didn't even explain any of the wines that he poured us. We had to wait a decent amount of time between each pour. We were thrilled to get out of there after the last glass. It was not busy at ALL! No service and a bad attitude!! I will definitely not recommend this winery ever.

Absolute slice of heaven on Earth. Reservations are required, so plan ahead. Bring a picnic or some food to snack on, and sit out on the patio enjoying incredible views, impeccable service, and superb wines. Every time I'm here, I never want to leave.

Summary:Gorgeous grounds with great views but wasn't the most welcoming. Also, the drive in is about 7 min on a dirt road with amazing views but be prepared with your car you may need to take it slow. We had a truck so it was fun. Wine wasn't bad but wine is also about experience for me so the memory it left isn't a great one. You definitely need a reservation, The guy Nick doing the tastings on first impressions seems like a stickler and like he's sick of his job. Maybe we caught him on a bad day but we left pretty convinced he didn't want us there.Full story:Full disclosure there is a sign at the gate that says reservations online but we made the call to go in thinking that maybe they would give us a break since it was a Monday and thought it may be a slow day based on the other wineries we visited that day. We walked in and immediately said we dont have a reservation and asked if it was ok and were totally ready to be turned away which would've been fine but the guy inside was sweet and said it's ok go ahead and find a table. So we did, it wasn't crowded and the views are gorgeous. When it came to the actual guy, Nick outside who was conducting the tastings, he was really put out. When he found out we hadn't made a reservation he started in on how slammed he was about to get and how he wanted to manage expectations, that tastings take 2.5 hours, and how people ignore the sign and of course we had, so we were still apologetic and thankful and just told him we'd get two bottles so he wouldn't have to worry about us making him more busy. (mind you it was just two of us)After bringing the bottles and the glasses he didn't have to do anything for us the whole time but it was clear he didn't really want to. It never got super busy, plus while we were there about 40 min another party of 5 just came in a sat down without a reservation and we heard him tell them it's ok it's slow today. Then when it came time and we walked in to pay the $130 for drinking two bottles with a view he was just as avoidant and unfriendly. So it just felt a little personal. We have a place in the area because we fell in love with this wonderful part of Santa Barbara county, the people and wineries are generally so welcoming and feel like community. Not so full of themselves, but this place definitely felt like Napa vibes. Which is some people's thing, just not ours.

What a wonderful venue! Beautiful drive through vineyards to get to the tasting room. Their wines were all very good, but my favorite was the Sauv Blanc! You are allowed to bring food. The service was perfect.

Beautiful surroundings, banging wine, not too expensive, two cats. 5/5
