We visited today and while the grounds looked pleasant, unfortunately we were 'greeted' by the owners 2 overly friendly dogs charging at us and our dog We are trying to train our dog to be dog neutral so we can bring her with us wine tasting so super disappointing to visit a winery where the owner's dogs are off leash.
And although the owner tried to put them away (try is the key word as the dogs had poor recall) we just left without tasting a thing. We should not have to ask for any off leash dogs in this setting to stop harassing us to sit down calmly at a table. Ridiculous.
If we wanted to this we would bring a bottle in a brown bag to a local dog park. We went down the road to a professional winery that welcomed us and others with dogs without us being uncomfortable.
If you have dogs, only come here if you want a dog park like environment.
An absolutely beautiful facility! But extremely expensive and even more extreme light pours.... So that was disappointing. Went to buy a bottle and still was charged for the tasting, which was about the equivalent of a 6Oz glass. Wine was good. But overall it would be tough to recommend...
We had the best Wine Tasting experience ever. The place and vibe are just perfect for friends and family. One thing that is truly remarkable here is their service. I can feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner who is truly kind. I would definitely come back and recommend this winery. Kudos!
Best winery visit of our two-day trip to the Solvang area. Warm, friendly host. Delicious wines. Lovely venue and garden. Would highly recommend.
Experienced and non scripted staff. Our party of 9 had a great Tasting!!!
Great experience. Nice wine and good service.
Good wines, very knowledgeable host. Always fun to learn more about winemaking.
What a unique vineyard. We really enjoyed the tasting and the laidback setting. We will certainly be back on our next trip!

Absolutely beautiful location. The weather was nice so sat outside and enjoyed the wine. The fella explaining the wines was knowledge and very entertaining which made it all the better. Fantastic visit
We’ve been going to this winery for years and we still love it. First, Dan is the MAN when it comes to everything wine. He has extensive knowledge of wines as well as a variety of other topics. We think he was a comedian in his first life—-always makes us laugh ?. This is a very laid back place with beautiful grounds around it. The only suggestion we have would be to spruce up/update the tasting room. Even just a fresh coat of paint would be nice.☺️
Loved this spot, went back last two times I've stayed up there and will continue to go back!Summary:Wine is good, we left with the bottles of the rose. Super chill vibe, good music playing beautiful natural grounds with plenty of places to sit and have a picnic. Hosts are welcoming and no nonsense. This great family winery is both beautiful and a happy place to be. They have you sit anywhere you want and you come back up to the counter for your next tasting, or you can purchase a bottle. You can bring your own food and sit in a shady spot, there's lots of places to sit with a view of the vineyards.Side note: check out the Emus in the corral at the bottom of the hill.
Dan the wine man! Under that no BS veneer beats the heart of king. Hes not pushy and allows this beautiful wine to speak for itself. After 20 years here and a decade in Napa, Dan KNOWS wine and real Hospitality like it was long before keyboard warriors ruined things ;) This is one old fashioned family man, proud of the wine he serves and the realness we all crave. He was the highlight of my besties 50th birthday trip, and my week.
Amazing wines in a great outdoor space, wish we took more home!
