We were lucky to make it before they closed for the day and had a great experience. Wine was reasonably priced and made to great taste. The inside is nice and roomy and felt like we were apart of the family. Overall great service as well and a great experience. Recommend going if you're in the area!

Amazing wine, idyllic tasting room. The cab franc is a must and the white blends are all time.

I got a recommendation from a friend to try Waylan. Zack was great. He told us about the wines, the originations of their inspiration and had us sample several very nice wines. Their whites were wonderful, my wife really enjoyed them. The experience was awesome... we will be back.

This is a really cute vineyard with a comfy atmosphere and a great menu. Probably had the best wine list of the 3 vineyards I visited that day. But it was 3 of 3 so there's a lot I don't remember because lots of wine. I remember the couch being so comfy. I want to come back.

Can’t imagine a worse experience. Employee claiming to be a relative of the owner… “I don’t care if you like our wines or not” Almost knocked him out belt decided to leave and pick up wine from about 5 other tasting rooms. AVOID.

Super friendly stop for wine tasting in downtown Los Olivos. Wines are great. Greg, Brad, and their crew are knowledgable and friendly. The tasting room is gorgeous, and the wines are top notch. Kids and dogs are allowed, but it's still a serene and sophisticated vibe. The wines are really thoughtful and interesting, and you can try a lot of blending grapes (like mouvedre) as single varietals. It's an interesting place to have a more involved experience -- or just swill away.

Absolutely hands down the BEST wine in Los Olivos! We joined the wine club on the spot. If you are looking for innovative, complex wines Waylan is the choice!

(Local) Family owned - none better in the Santa Ynez Valley (or Central California)! Stop by and say hello to Brad, Greg and their team. While your there, join their wine club, you'll be glad you did!

What a gem of a place! We found it simply because it looked nice from the outside and had AC on a 100 degree day. How lucky we were! We had Zach as our somm and he made a bad day better! So knowledgeable and nice and excited about the wine and their backstory and the owners. Every single wine was delicious. We bought 6 bottles and 2 candles and can't imagine ever visiting without stopping here and seeing Zach. It was my birthday, and the day wasn't going well (and didn't go so well afterwards either) so that little while at Waylan was truly the highlight of my day. Beautiful comfortable space and awesome people with really great wine. Don't skip it.

We LOVE this gem in Los Olivos! We discovered them when they were brand new several years ago and have been members since! We always suggest them to our friends and are always bringing them here with us! The owners are really great and it's been awesome watching them grow! The wine is always good! Even the whites, which is not our go to! We have never been disappointed in our visits or the wines we take home!

First off I want to say, we almost didn't come to this wine company because we originally chose a different spot that I found on Yelp. We texted our good friends whom come to Los Olivos often, and they recommended "Waylan's". Along with reading the excellent reviews on Yelp, we were sold! We arrived around 230ish and it wasn't crowded. We brought some sandwiches from across the street and cupcakes from S & S and paired them with their 6 sample wine tasting. We met the first owner Brad Wayne and he was very friendly and informative. His eyes are so gorgeous like Caribbean Sea, you can't miss him. The first thing I asked him was, what does Waylan stands for because I like to know the history and background of a unique name. Brad explained to me that Waylan stands for his middle name, "Wayne" and his brother Greg's middle name, "Alan" Get it? Blend the two names together and you get "Waylan"! Super clever and unique. My favorite was the rose & cinsault. And my husband liked the Syrah, and Chenin blanc. We were then greeted by Doug and he was very helpful with which wines tasted good with certain food. The other owner Zack showed up an hour later and introduced himself to us. He was also very friendly and resourceful. I loved their decor and landscape and he helped me out with with a certain hedge plant that I liked. He even wrote it out for me;) What is really neat is that the two brothers recently had babies: Zack had a baby girl named Olive and Brad had a baby boy named Brooks and they are months apart! What we really loved about this place is the kind "at home" family feeling of feeling welcome. & at home. Almost like coming over to a family's home type of feeling. We also met Zack their cousin and their father. Right when we saw him, we automatically said you must be the dad. We knew he was their dad with one glance of his pretty blue eyes. They were all just the kindest peeps we ever did meet. We knew after our wonderful wine tasting experience that we wanted to be wine club members here. There was no pressure on their behalf. We thought it would be nice to have some nice wine at our home during our anniversary and holidays. We can't wait to come back and bring our friends and celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary and birthdays and bring our cute puppy and leave our kiddos at home with the grandparents again ;) We left with matching comfy sweatshirts and wine glasses. The wine glasses are so classy looking. We just lost our almost 19-year old kitty cat so this was much needed. Thank you Waylan's for making our couples retreat weekend relaxing and memorable. We can't wait until our next visit with you all. Nice people still do exist and you are proof.
