The Grenache and Syrah were excellent
Had a great time. Employees were friendly. Family are members
We just opened this wine after 11 years stored properly...it was amazing
Beautiful quiet landscape the enjoy wonderful wine! The wines were surprisingly flavorful, and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
When making your list of wineries to visit when you're in town, don't forget Zach Mesa! I think on the Foxen road it's become one of my favorites to visit for both the wine and the relaxed atmosphere. I LOVE the Tread label. Specifically the Pinots are fantastic. I think the other one that I loved was the Z-Three. This place is very kid friendly and even have some chickens on site and a giant chess board. Very nice, relaxed place with fantastic wine!
Zaca Mesa Winery and the entire team is simply THE BEST! My husband and I got married in October 2024 and toured the venue roughly 2 years prior. Would you believe me if I told you Zaca Mesa was the first and ONLY venue we toured for our wedding? We loved the property and the people SO much that we didn’t need to look any further. We booked it right away! We were beyond satisfied with everything! Tara, the events manager, is an absolute dream to work with. She is so kind, so responsive and very helpful. My wedding planner even told me Tara was her favorite venue coordinator she’s ever worked with! It is truly a magical location and we could not recommend them enough! My guests were raving about how gorgeous the venue was! And the wine! The wine is smooth, delicious, and affordable. We wish we could get married here over and over again! Obsessed!!!!
Stunning venue to get married!!! We had a lovely time at Zaca Mesa since the first visit. Even when things didn’t go our way due to the lovely oak tree had finally hit its time, they were willing to work with us to get the once in a lifetime experience we want for our guests. It became a blessing in disguise, and with their support they made the wedding even better than expected. Tara was so on top with the communication and she answered every question. She was thoughtful with the details and offered us so many ideas to help with the wedding planning. Thank you to all the Zaca staff and owner, Stewart!!!
Went to Zaca Mesa Winery as part of the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail this past weekend. The staff was extremely rude and provided poor service. We enjoy wine tasting and learning about each wine. When asking about the wine, the staff person stated "It's on the website. Free Wifi" and walked away. Needless to say we didn't stay to finish and as we were leaving they said "Come back tomorrow." Worst experience and would not recommend. Fortunately, the next winery(AM) was AMAZING (both wine and staff).
Had a reservation for my wife’s birthday. I reserved a table for the terrace. When I got there I was told I couldn’t seat at the terrace due to the presence of my 20 month old son when does are allowed ‘’go figure’’. I was told kids were not allowed in that part of the winery. Do yourself a favor and go down to the street To Fess Parker I went there with no reservation and they were super nice and of course kids were allowed.
Amazing venue. We catered their 40th anniversary celebration, such a beautiful experience!

I highly recommend the Amphora Grenache; it was excellent.
Dog friendly winery, we had a lot of fun here. Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms. They had free wifi but no cell phone reception. Not a lot of seating inside, tons of patio seating. We were very happy with everything we had here.
Beautiful place, love the history and service! Famous for their syrahs, we are just not huge syrahs lovers.
My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed one of our best wine-tasting experiences at Zaca Mesa Winery. We were celebrating our 3-year anniversary and wanted to experience the best wineries in the Santa Barbara County area. The customer service at Zaca Mesa was top notch, the ambience was warm and relaxing, and the wine was amazing. While all of the wines we tasted were delicious (in particular their Syrahs, which is what put them on the map) , our favorite was their 2019 Repose – a great blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot (we liked it so much, we took a nice bottle to continue celebrating back home!).Having gone to Napa and Temecula numerous times, I can say that our experience at Zaca Mesa was one of our favorites. Not surprisingly, Zaca has been one of the best wineries in the Santa Barbara County for decades (it’s celebrating its 50th anniversary this year!). It’s easy to see why. We’ll definitely be returning soon to experience more of their tasty Rhône-style wines and amazing ambience.
Wonderful time! Thank You! Had a blast with a taste of the Mixed Flights. Megan explained everything. Learned a lot and can't wait to return.
