Worth a stop for the vibes! Cute spot with a cozy, homey decor and fun details. Made me feel like I was a kid again visiting my grandparents home!
The server wasn't all fake customer servicey and was more genuine with occasional attitude-- which might not be for everyone but made for a more interesting experience and I liked.
Everyone at our table left with a clean plate after having the cheeseburgers. Serving size was a little on the small side for the price.
Kid friendly. Lots of coloring books and toys for kids were in a big box nearby. And older man approached us and gave the remote to our kid to pick a channel. Very sweet.
Perfect place to stop by after a wholesome hike with loved ones!
Fish tacos are beyond good, 👍 everything is made in the moment. I heard the the person behind the kitchen is a cordon bleu retired chef. The cheesecakes are delicious home made 🙌🏼 the guy who takes orders at the front market super nice and kind. The atmosphere at the patio is relaxing
I was in exactly the right mood for a quiet place where I could think and do things and hear friends talking and joking in background.
I had the tuna salad. I was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. Not gourmet, but they're obviously keeping it simple--you grasp that when walking in. Within that, it was yummy.
And coffee. Thanks folks! Enjoyed the open easy-going atmosphere and good food!
I've been coming here for years... Bill and the locals are always nice and welcoming. If you go up Lytle Creek for recreational purposes, please clean up after yourself.
Had a pastrami with Fry's were very fresh both sandwiche and frys
This restaurant is located in an area called Scotland. There were some parking spots outside of the restaurant on the side. There is a small store inside the restaurant selling random items.
It feels like a cabin up in the mountain, and it is very cozy. The patio outside has cute decorations, and it would be nice to eat outside on a warm day. We ordered the mountain cheese burger, and a cheddar burger melt. Both items came with fries. Portion was huge. The burger patties were well cooked, but not overcooked. The cheese and burger were a perfect match! I was able to finish the melt on my own!
The lady who served us was very friendly, and she was very attentive.
I was happy that I was able to have a meal in Scotland without getting on the plane.
GOT MILK? It'll cost ya $6.65 a gallon!
Great food, pleasant environment. Not too pricey.
My friend and I went to Lytle Creek looking for Mistletoe and we stopped at this place to ask if they knew where we can find some that wasn't too hard to get. The people there were very friendly & the atmosphere was very festive. Nicely decorated & even though we weren't able to stay and have a bite to eat, the food smelled really good. Homemade pies looked yummy.
This place feels a bit like walking into your great aunt’s country house where she also just happens to serve some food and beers. The night I stopped in the place was full of friendly locals at the bar. A beer was cheaper than your average place ($4.25 for a Corona) and “Uncle Bill” out little paper dishes of free bar snacks (cheetos, chili cheese fritos, cheese popcorn). I didn’t order food, so can’t comment on that. This place is homey and conveniently located by Applewhite Campground and the RV park down the road.
Parking: Parking along the side of the road.

Very friendly atmosphere, laid back. Don't be in a rush. Have a chat with folks at the bar. They are soo very cool and intoxicated.

Love this place! Have had some great breakfasts and lunches here. Home cooking and good service. Small town atmosphere (which is pretty eclectic) with a small store where you can stock up on some groceries and supplies for your day visit or camping trip. Highly recommended.

A typical setting for a nice restaurant and very good services. We liked the welcome and the service. A complete menu and well executed and gourmet preparations. Nice place around Los Angeles.
