Broad Street Oyster Co. is one of the best casual spots in Malibu. The seafood is always incredibly fresh, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere has that fun, relaxed coastal vibe that people love about Malibu. I often stop in before or after real estate appointments, and it’s also a great place to bring friends who want a true Malibu experience. The lobster rolls are always amazing, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently excellent. A must-visit for locals and visitors.

I think the prices here are seriously overrated. Our check for two came out to $103 + tip — for two lobster rolls, one sea urchin, and two beers. I honestly don’t understand the hype around this place with a price tag like that.
Sure, maybe a full sit-down restaurant would cost even more, but come on…
For $100 you can get way more food at any Korean BBQ in LA — tons of meat and seafood.
Overall, it felt like an “experience for the wealthy.” Tasty, yes, but in my opinion definitely not worth the price.

I traveled all the way from Miami just to try Broad Street Oyster Company — and wow, it was absolutely worth every dollar! The food was incredible, fresh, and full of flavor. The lobster roll was perfection, and the atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for in a Malibu spot — relaxed, coastal, and vibrant.
The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. You can truly feel the passion they put into what they do.
If you’re anywhere near Malibu (or even if you’re not!) — this place is a must. I’d fly back just to eat here again. 🦞🌊

By far the best lobster roll I’ve had. I ordered the warm buttered roll with their fries and old bay sauce. The location is great and the service and cleanliness is excellent. Whenever I am in California I will make sure to go here from now on.

Had an amazing experience at the broad street oyster co. In Malibu. I have never been in the area and was pleasantly greeted by the cashier in the front named Jordan. She recommended the clams linguine and a hot lobster roll, she paired it with a white wine for me and the meal was to die for. Always ask for a recommendations because it was the best meal I had on my entire trip! Thanks again for the great hospitality and amazing food, will be coming back soon.

The lobster roll that they say is world famous is mediocre at best and the portion size is fit for a child, I left hungry!! My first impression of the place was terrible as the cashier Jordan in the front was extremely rude, I should’ve taken that as a sign and left without eating there. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Rude waitress Jordan with the worst customer service attitude. The food was so disappointing, I’m genuinely sad I spent my paycheck on a meal for my family here. The fish and chips tasted like something straight out of the supermarket, and the tacos were abysmal. Portions were tiny and absolutely not worth the price. Save your money and eat elsewhere! For Malibu, I would rather go somewhere with waterfront dining views and better seafood options.

Visiting from Colorado and needed a good lunch—so glad we stopped here. It didn’t disappoint in any way. I had the cod (perfectly cooked and flaky), my daughter loved her oysters (super fresh), and my husband devoured a lobster roll. My son tried the lobster special that day and it was outstanding.
Everything was absolutely delicious, service was friendly, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The warm butter lobster roll is impeccable, and when paired with a tap beer, it creates an amazing mix of flavors. Located in the heart of the atmospheric Malibu Village Center, it’s my favorite place so far to spend an evening.

Stopped at this establishment because had to use the charging stations and it was a great choice. The charging stations were quick and all was working, but the establishment was friendly. The beers were cold and had great seating. Didn’t have enough time to try the food but it smelled and looked good.
