Awful experience. Ordered a smoothie and waited 20 minutes to receive it. While I was waiting, the chef called a different number for a green smoothie (I ordered the green goddess) but my number didn’t match it when I asked him if it was mine. Turns out, it was my smoothie and he gave it to me after I went up and asked a second time 20 minutes after ordering. The smoothie was good, but for $10 and a 20 minute wait I can’t give it anything above 2 starts. Would not recommend.

First experience was outstanding. Sandwiches and salads are on another level. This place is an A+ and I highly recommend.

BLTA- $18. But the toast was so hard you could hardly bite it. Definitely not soft sourdough. Overcooked crispy bacon. Huge wedge of lettuce. Not recommended to order again. Especially for the high price tag!

Avocado wrap- $18 Better option. Spinach tortilla was good. Avocado, Feta, and cucumbers had a Greek flavor to them. Chicken was a little bland, but acceptable with the other flavors. Still over priced, maybe $12-15 is more appropriate.

Both sandwiches came with a side salad with balsamic dressing. A little too salty, but otherwise yummy and a nice side.

Overall, for the price, I'm not sure if it was worth it. Maybe it's a location thing and the price reflects that. If so, stick to the wrap, not the BLTA.

Nice quiet outdoor picnic tables.

Vegetarian options: Several sandwich options on menu.

Kid-friendliness: Playground with swings, monkey bars, and toddler size climbing slide very close and visible from tables.

I went there with a couple of friends for breakfast/brunch. Not only was the food FREEZING when it got to us, it took them 45 minutes to actually prepare the food and serve it to us. Also, we found the staff to be grumpy, as well. Would not recommend. There are much better food places around this location with excellent customer service, contrasting from this one…

As a working mother of two, Jennessy and John, I was flabbergasted at the underwhelming service that John’s Garden provided to us a few days back when we went to try their sandwiches. After picking up little John from Soccer practice, we hungrily sat here, but it took them half an hour to get us started with some water and an additional 40 minutes to actually give us the food, which was bland, to say the least, and looked like it was pre-made at the local Sam’s Club. I urge everyone to stay away from this business for the sake of you and your little children!

Food is garbage and bland. Pesto does not taste like pesto, bread is dry, don’t spend 25 bucks on a mid sandwich that you could make in 20 minutes. Still finished tho

I hate to write a review like this, however while eating my otherwise very good sandwich; I felt something strange in my mouth. It was a 3” dark hair. I was disgusted. It obviously was not mine as I am bald. Prior to this, I was pleased that I found the type of restaurant that I enjoy

I used to go here on lunch breaks when I went to Pepperdine several years ago and I can report it’s still just as good. I’ve only ever gotten their sandwiches but that’s fine because every one I’ve ever tried is great. The staff are friendly and you can typically count on getting your food fast which is great considering you’re in Malibu with a bunch of tourists
