Kristy’s is always dependable for a great meal at Trancas.
I stopped in for breakfast today — the potatoes were crispy, the scrambled eggs were perfect, and the bacon was great. Service is friendly and the patio is such a nice place to sit, especially on a clear Malibu morning.
A solid west-end Malibu spot for breakfast or lunch, with plenty of parking and easy access after a beach walk.

Seafood pasta and Hong Kong style catch! This spot is a great place to visit in Malibu if you love seafood. The Hong Kong style catch is a steamed fish with ginger and scallions, served with a side of broccolini — simple, fresh, and delicious.

We were seated outside and it was a lovely day. My husband and I loved to eat brunch here after visiting Zuma beach. 😋 It was a little pricey but the food made up for it. A place to splurge on if you're feeling up for it and around the area. There is parking and other shops around to look at. We ordered the Kristy burger with fries and the citrus salad w chicken. Chicken was a little dry but alright. They have a bar as well.

Kristy’s Malibu is a hidden gem that consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. The miso-marinated cod might be the best kept secret in Malibu—it easily rivals, and arguably surpasses, Nobu’s version. The crispy rice is flash-fried to perfection, the cod is tender and wonderfully seasoned, and the pickled radishes on top add a bright, flavorful contrast that ties the whole dish together beautifully.
Two guests in our party ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes, cauliflower, and asparagus. The chops were cooked to perfection—juicy, well-seasoned, and so good that both guests polished the bone clean. Another guest ordered the filet, which was equally impressive—rich, tender, and expertly prepared.
We have dined at Kristy’s multiple times, and the experience is consistently excellent. The service is always attentive, the food outstanding, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Kristy’s remains one of our favorite spots in Malibu.

My wife and I came here and we ordered chopped salad and fish and chips. The portions were huge and the food was good! We had to leave early and Kristy was so nice and helped pack us some extra sauce. Unfortunately we forgot to pack the sauce since we were in a hurry. Will definitely come back whenever we’re near Malibu!
