I used to go to this place back in the 80's and early 90's. I loved their 21 fried shrimp and pint of clam chowder for $5. I would go for a run across the street at the beach and sometimes surf, then head over for food. We had changed states and recently came back to California (25 years later) for a visit. I wanted to return to this iconic restaurant to revisit the nostalgic memories... what a disappointment! Unfortunately, the menu prices have become beyond crazy for what you get. A half pint of clam chowder is $9. How do you justify this price? Fish and chips are $18.95. I would almost accept these prices if the food was amazing, being this place is in Malibu, but... The fries were terrible. They were kind of soggy and had no taste. Cooking fries is a lost art here... The fish was crisp, but had no flavor. The coleslaw was awful. I was just shocked at how bad the food was. My husband had the Mahi Mahi with rice. He said the rice and fish were awful. The rice wasn't cooked right and tasted bad. But, I must say, the clam chowder was delicious. Even so, the prices are ridiculous, and the quality of food is subpar. The rock music was loud. The table was sticky. There were no prices on the drinks fridge. The Asian looking guy working the counter was professional, super nice and friendly. I did like how they offered crackers and had the condiments out. The view is amazing. I think this place needs to make some serious changes. It has great potential, but unfortunately, I won't be returning...

Casual roadside stop. Designated motorcycle parking right out front. Grilled fish tacos had a little spice to them and were delicious! Great view of the ocean while you dine!!

This was my first time trying this place since it came highly recommended, but I was very disappointed. The owner (who was also the cashier) had terrible customer service — rude and not friendly at all. The tacos came out cold, the calamari had no flavor, and even the steamed rice was hard and oddly dark instead of white, which my kids wouldn’t eat. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I wouldn’t return.

My favorite spot in LA, slightly above Roscoes. Always loved driving the PCH to my favorite biker bar for some beers and awesome sea food. The number of friends I have taken here is in the dozens. Love the Net.

There's a special place in my heart for Neptune's Net. When I was stationed at Pt. Mugu from 2004-07 my wife and I were young parents with two young boys. I deployed about every ten months and life and marriage were both hard. I cherished my time at home and one of the first places we'd go as a family was Neptune's net for great food and a beautiful view of the sunset. Any time family visited us from Northern California or Illinois we took them there to get a taste of So Cal. Eat here. You won't regret a second of it.

Take the beautiful coastal drive to Neptune's Net, it's worth it just for the views. Situated across the street from beach, this roadhouse is a charming remnant of the type of restaurant that was prevalent back in the mid 20th century. Counter service, outdoor seating, grab your beverage from a HUGE selection (a really great selection of California and other craft beers is impressive) order at the counter and wait for them to call your name. I don't know anything about clam chowder, but the chowder I got here was very good, also the crab cakes. Motorcycle parking in front, a large parking lot, many spaces shaded next to the restaurant. FYI for fussy people, the restrooms are just portolets out back. I really enjoyed my visit to Neptune's Net and hope to go back soon and try more of the menu.

Came here after a crazy hiking on Santa Monica Mountain on one of the hottest days. Whatever was delicious if you are hungry.
I was willing to give a try because lots of movies were shot here.
I now don’t have any bud-memory, However I had a great time in one of the most amazingly beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.

Neptune’s Net is a laid-back, iconic seafood spot with unbeatable ocean views. Known for its fresh, no-frills menu, highlights include fried seafood baskets, clam chowder, and steamed shellfish.

The casual, beachy vibe makes it a favorite for bikers, surfers, and locals looking for a relaxed meal by the Pacific. While parking can get crowded, the atmosphere and food are worth it.

Perfect for a scenic, casual seafood feast with Malibu charm.

The PA system is super annoying. Every 30 seconds you hear very loudly them frantically shouting out orders to pickup…. Loud bike noises racing off like a fugitive on the run all throughout our meal. Not a classy place to bring grandma for a Sunday meal. I think you could catch Hepatits from using the bathrooms.

Does seafood is absolutely fresh. Their tasting menu is fit for four people. There were fresh oysters too. Their fish and chips were delicious and their squid rings were heavenly.

Old school since 1956. I was here on a Sunday before noon and it wasn’t crowded. Super fast service when I ordered clam chowder in a bread bowl.
