This is my third Nobu to visit, and it was an all-around lovely experience. Service was very high-end without being pretentious. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu and directed us towards some great decisions that treated us to an array of flavors across the menu. As always, the food is high quality. The atmosphere is unique from other locations. We were all mesmerized by the crashing waves and resulting mist in the air. The woodburning fireplace is an idyllic addition...

I typically enjoy Nobu, but our most recent visit was disappointing. Given the cost, we expect better service. Our server was inattentive, admitted to delays in placing our orders, and still rushed us to accommodate another reservation. Although the food was excellent, we felt pressured to leave and finished our dessert cocktails on the patio near the entrance. I would not have minded the slower service had we not been rushed. I still recommend Nobu, as this experience is not...

Food was fabulous, service and atmosphere was poor. We were sat 30 minutes after our reservation, didn't get our first drink for 20 more minutes after that (and they had made clear we would have the table for a set amount of time when we made the reservation). The bar area we had to wait in was overcrowded and we had to stand in the corner to allow a small walkway for the staff to get though and didn't have a chance to get drinks while we waited because it was so crowded....
