We had a bad experience with the older blonde lady with pushy attitude, and just overall mean and crude. Her makeup scared the kids omg! We just wanted coffee, but her vibe ruined the whole experience. If you read some of these reviews, you will find out we were not alone in this.

Terrible service (Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 7pm), we were waiting for the team to take our order, and a young man walked in straight to the cashier, and the barista decided to take his order. We felt very disrespected and discriminated, given we are a POC group…
This Starbucks at Trancas is one of the most convenient stops on the west end of Malibu. Plenty of parking (a rarity in Malibu!), lots of outdoor seating, and fast service even during the morning rush. The baristas are always friendly, and the mobile order pickup area is really easy to navigate.
What I love most is the setting — the whole Trancas Country Market has a relaxed, rustic feel, and this Starbucks fits right in. Great spot to grab a coffee before heading down to Zuma Beach or running errands around the center.

This morning around 9am November 15 2025 walked in Starbucks sat down to see what I was going to drink from cashier I hear a older woman in her 40 o 50 say are you going to buy anything because other wise you can’t be here. I felt discriminated and found myself very embarrassed that all the people in there look at me being only Hispanic sitting down and thrown out. If you ready reviews about this location I noticed there are horrible and this lady has done it before why has the location not taken any action. Would not visit this location again. Call Starbucks customer service number waiting on district manager to give me a call back so I can see if they put human beings that know how to treat other humans not by color or race or language.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHIPPY STAFF w/ Great Coffee! I think the staff at this Starbucks are a bit sensitive as they encounter a lot of older “Karen” types. I feel bad for them, however they should treat friendly customers a little better, I wasn’t totally happy with the service. I was literally standing behind my Dad in line (we were paying separately) and some lady (barista) told me to back up. Ummm… I was in the right spot, no need for ‘tude!
That being said, the coffee was phenomenal and not watered down! I ordered a cold brew with oat-milk and I absolutely loved it. It’s low-calorie and my Starbucks go-to. The decor and structure was amazing, definitely an artistic and beautiful Starbucks. Both inside and out, it was trendy and very inviting.
I enjoyed my coffee at the outside tables to enjoy the sounds of the beach and fresh morning air. My order was prepared fairly quickly.

Rude and Unnecessary Policy – Bad Experience
Visited this Starbucks on February 17, 2025 10am, and had one of the worst customer service experiences. My wife and I were at the counter deciding what to order when she suddenly needed to use the restroom. The lady at the counter refused to give us the code, saying we had to order first. My wife was in discomfort while we were still trying to decide, but the counter lady showed no consideration at all.
Out of frustration, I asked another employee who came from the kitchen side, and he immediately gave me the code without any issue. So clearly, the refusal wasn’t some strict company policy—it was just unnecessary attitude from the counter lady.
I’ve never experienced this kind of nonsense at a Starbucks before. If this is how they treat customers, I won’t be coming back. Terrible service.
