I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the unpleasant experience I had at your store in Malibu.
I ordered two drinks, but the preparation took an unusually long time. While waiting outside on the chairs, I noticed that the drinks were already made but had been placed somewhere intentionally out of sight from the outside seating area. When I finally went back inside to check, a staff member, without any smile or courtesy, gestured toward the drinks with their chin as if to say, “They’re right there,” in a very disrespectful manner.
What made the situation even worse was that the staff’s attitude felt clearly discriminatory. As an Asian customer, I felt mocked and unwelcome. The female staff members even laughed among themselves in a way that seemed to ridicule me. This behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional.
I came all the way to Malibu expecting to enjoy my time, not to be treated this way. No one deserves to be disrespected or discriminated against because of their ethnicity.
I sincerely hope that you will take this matter seriously, address the staff’s behavior, and ensure that such treatment does not happen to anyone else in the future.

If raw/ organic food and smoothies are your things this is a great place. No vegan ice cream but they had raw donuts, chocolate turtles and a fab selection of vegan smoothies. Recommended!

Love this location! Great service and they have a small area in the back where you can play uno, connect four, or chess. Got the Maui bowl and it was so good!

am beyond frustrated with the staff at this location. While I genuinely enjoy SunLife’s products and smoothies, the customer service here is consistently cold, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I come by often after walking my dog at Zuma Beach, but every visit is a reminder of how unfriendly the staff are—no matter how polite or cheerful I am, they never reciprocate.
Ordering ahead for pickup doesn’t help either. When I arrive at the window, I’m routinely ignored. Even when I try to get the staff’s attention with a smile, they act like I’m invisible. It’s clear that making customers feel welcome is not a priority here.
Honestly, I’m just waiting for another business to open up nearby that actually values its customers, because I’d happily take my business somewhere with a genuinely warm and inviting atmosphere.

Apex supplement powder is a great product, and sometimes they don’t have it in stock for awhile. Not great considering it’s a daily supplement. So if you like it and find it in stock, buy enough to last as long as possible before it expires.

Ordered two smoothies. Waited patiently for 30 minutes. Asked cashier about smoothies, to which she replied "your smoothies are finished, just need to be poured." Waited another 15 minutes. Was given two smoothies, one of which had someone else's name on it. Tasted okay. Strangely, place wasn't particularly busy and there were probably 6 people making food...they looked semi-dumfounded by their tasks, sorta confused and forgetful. I've been to this place a few times before and my experience was totally different. Maybe something was in the air? Strange experience. Not going back because I'm honestly afraid when food preparers seem that absent minded.

The vibes at the location are not it. Fun location, but two girls on staff today were rough to work with. Missed drinks, got chocolate sauce all over everything, were rude to the guy in training - overall miserable being there.
Sun life is my go-to smoothie and all around healthy cafe in Southern California! The employees are always very kind and helpful, and the smoothies & bowls are great! 10/10 recommend
