It's a perennial favorite due to the location. This was the first visit ever where 2 managers visited every table. That was a very nice touch. The problems here are the same as always: the parking is a nightmare, the wait just TO park can be a nightmare, and the space is simply too small for the number of people it holds. For a peaceful place across from the ocean, the atmosphere inside is chaotic. There really isn't much room to expand unless they go vertical, and considering the odd layout (and broken elevator) that's probably not even an option. I would choose to take an Uber in to the side street and avoid a car if at all possible. That will make it much less stressful.

Love coming here! The food and staff are always good. Prices are great especially given the location. Went here yesterday with my family for Mother's Day and it was. Great experience. The parking attendants are stellar and honestly why we keep coming back. They're very accommodating, kind to all of their guests despite age and mobility, and keep things moving very quickly without ever having to wait.

Manager was rude. She pulled the server while taking our food order to complain. They don't answer their phones. Also not to mind you staff was moving and lifting chairs over customers heads. They almost hit my mom with a chair.

We made a reservation ahead of time for early Mother's Day lunch. The valet parking was excellent. We were seated without much of a wait. The service was good too. The salads were very small for the price although they tasted good. The tortellini was ok but would have liked more. The Parparadelli with Bolonghese was very good with an ample portion.

The views are amazing!!!!!! The food and our server was great the only thing I'll complain a little about is the girl at the front with a straight face ? when asking if she could help me, told her I had a reservation, asked for my name, and ask if outside or inside.....with straight face, never eye contact, no “hi welcome “ nothing. It felt pretty rude.... But everything else was sooo nice. I love the beach !!! ??????

This is restaurant that I have passed by many times and never gone in. Boy did I do a disservice to myself! My husband brought me here for my birthday and when we entered, it was the cutest restaurant with Rattan everywhere and wallpaper on the walls and neon signs. And you look through the windows and there's beautiful Zuma Beach right across the street. our waiter treated us like we were old friends and had great suggestions for our group. The octopus appetizer is in a cannellini bean moose and it's so delicious! The portions are huge and everyone was too busy eating to take even one picture of their food the menu was a perfect mix between seafood and Italian comfort. They brought me the flourless chocolate cake for my birthday and it was delicious but hands-down, the pistachio tres leches was out of this world and like nothing we've ever tasted before! That is a dessert that I will dream about and come back for! Can't wait to be back in Malibu so I can come back to the restaurant and try some of the other food!

This is my 2nd visit here and I must say this place is great!!! First is this beautiful location on the beach. I love those beaches I got to know thanks to this restaurant. The food was amazing and everything was made to perfection. We had the Brussels sprouts (omg the best I've had!) the caprese salad (finest quality I came across) we also ordered the salmon dish and the branzino dish that were so delicious as well. I had the risotto which was decent. Service is excellent and prices are good too. For this location and meal size they are fare. All in all this place is a must! We had a great dinner.

I like this place, certainly for the amazing sunset view. They also have a great 80's playlist that had me humming the tunes throughout my meal. Food was just just ok, but I didn't expect anything gourmet. Service could use some help as it seemed our waitress was not attentive and wasn't enjoying her job that day. Overall, I would return but only to take in sunset, have a cocktail and app.

I love sitting out on the north patio with my feet in the sand and watching the sun set over the ocean. The Sunset restaurant is one of my most favorite spots in the world. The service is outstanding. The food is awesome, our waiter was very polite and sweet, even though the place was packed!

Not only was the food really good ( I had the Barramundi fish sandwich), the view was awesome. I also got to know Ron who manages the place. He treats his staff well, he is friendly and he even conversed with me a bit at the bar. Great place. Cant wait to go back.

A super well located restaurant right on La Playa Zuma, Malibu. The food is delicious no matter the option, everything is well made and very fresh. We ate salads and the flavors really linger on the palate.A wonderful experience listening to the sway of the waves and enjoying in front of the sea with its fresh breeze.Impeccable attention, highly recommended place.

Open to Interpretation for the sake of my Sanity: This place was recommended by our friends that raved on the taste & quality of food. We were all pretty hyped up on the idea of having breakfast here knowing that the location was right across the beach! & looking forward to a wonderful experience. Until ... We walked in & said "Good morning" to the Host whom appeared to be organizing a stack of Menus. She glanced up and said " What are you here for?" followed by an eternal *awkward silence* Until I said, "ah... I mean you serve food here..right?" Host: "right. Oh my gosh I don't even know why I asked you that !" She then began to walk us to our table. My friends & I sincerely wanted to give the Host the benefit of the doubt but with every passing minute it became more challenging. We sat at our table wondering if this was something that would happen to the next person who would come in or if we were just not seen as potential customers in search of a pleasant meal. 0 Stars for Customer Service 5 Stars for their Phenomenal Pancakes Please do Better
