The food was just okay. I've had better dishes elsewhere. They Jagerschnitzel's gravy was really thin. The schnitzel were really thin. I think the best part of the sampler platter was the potato pancakes.

We had a quiet dinner at this charming restaurant which serves typical German cuisine in Mammoth town.
The ambience is nice and warm and the service was excellent. We ordered sausages, venision ribs and goulash along with drinks. The sausages and venision was typical German cuisine and well made, however the goulash was not quite at par with the goulash one experiences in Europe.

Glad we ignored some of the negative reviews. The Elk was great and seasoned well. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Got the jaegerschniztel. It wasn’t bad, just not what I expected from a schnitzel. Schnitzels are breaded and fired cutlets, this was not breaded. Usually the sauce is a thick mushroom gravy, this was very thin, watery mushroom sauce. The pork was tender and cooked just right and it did taste good. We ordered the fired pork belly for an appetizer and it was delicious. Two in my party got the lobster ravioli and each said they got some shell in their ravioli filling. Another got the filet mignon and said it was very good. Service, on the other hand was not very good. Waited quite a while to get our order in. I didn’t receive a refill on my ice tea until 10 minutes after I finished it. When we were done, we had to wait about 15 minutes before they cleared out dishes and asked about dessert. At that point, we just wanted to leave. Waited another 5-7 minutes to get the doggy bags, another 5-7 minutes before the check came. Finally, the menu as a whole has a limited selection of German food. I probably won’t return, but I also would not dissuade someone from trying it out.

Stopped here for dinner and it was PACKED! There was no seats available in the dining room but there were some in the bar. Despite it being busy we were helped immediately and given some solid recommendations. Although this type of food was not really my style it was tasty and filling. Just remember that if you're in the bar area don't expect the same timing and service you would get in the dining room. Especially when it was as packed as it was. It didn't bother me one bit but it did my inebriated friend. Lol

Wonderful food, amazing vibes, was packed but we were able to get a table pretty quick at the bar area. The servers were so friendly and hospitable even though they were busy as hell. 10/10 surprised and would recommend.

This was easily the most expensive frozen food meal I’ve had. The whole place is uncanny, it has all the signals initially that the meal will actually be good. Then the food came. The cheese spaetzle was a half melted shredded mozzarella mix sprinkled over previously frozen noodles. We ordered pork chops. Imagine 3/4 inch slices of preserved ham. The Bob Evans mashed potatoes were the highlight, although they didn’t bring them out until we asked. Nothing was inedible, it’s just insane paying 50$/pp for the lowest quality ingredients purchasable.

It was a good dinner though because me and my partner could not stop laughing as one very inauthentic plate came out after the next.. “they can’t possibly not serve us real pork chops right??!” and low quality ham arrives with a side of Mott’s apple sauce.

What an amazing restaurant in Mammoth. First off it’s the perfect vibe and setting for a nice dinner after hitting the slopes. Food was amazing the Apple strudel was insane, the barrel aged old fashioned was great too. Definitely a place you must visit while in mammoth. Huge shout out to Katie our server she was absolutely amazing. 5 stars across the board!!

Fine dining would be an overstatement. Being disappointed with a bellow average experience.
Food was good at its best. The soup had been frozen, courses lack taste.
Service is polite, yet underwhelming.
