Cozy little place with a great casual vibe. The wait staff was very friendly. Food was good, I had the Pastelon and my wife had the Vegetarian plate which she really enjoyed. I would highly recommend the Coconut Bread Pudding for dessert.

Our waitress sounded like a disgruntled employee. Ex: We wanted refills on our water and when she was serving the other table next to us, my friend raised her hand to get her attention. Instead of saying “I’ll be right with you” she said “Can’t you see my hands are full!” She sent another waitress who brought us refills. At that time, the water waitress asked how our meal was. We told her our skewers were really dry and overcooked. She passed the message to our waitress. Our waitress came over and said “I understand you have a problem!” She took off the charge for 2 skewers ordered. She started clearing the table next to us making a lot of noise and evidently spilled something. Rather than cleaning up her spill with a clean towel; she brought out a dirty mop while we were eating our dessert and said, “Now I gotta be a janitor!” When she brought us the final bill, we gave her 3 credit cards and requested our bill be divided into 3 couples. She followed by saying, “Should I add 20 percent tip too?”

I’ll start by saying the food was INCREDIBLE! Everything we ordered was really well done. We got the platanos to start (they are a side dish) and it was crispy and great with their sauces. The owner makes a delicious hot sauce that went well on pretty much everything. I had the Cubano and the balanced sweet and savory of the meat really stood out to me. There was a great meat to bread ratio and the flavors of the sandwich really was authentically Cuban with its own unique twist.

The restaurant itself reflected the vibrancy of Cuban culture and food. Lots of art, colorful walls, live music! We came in a little later and closer to closing and it was packed on a weekday at the time we came in. The only critique I have is that it was a little confusing to understand where to go to get seated but it’s kind of in the center of the restaurant. It took us a little longer to get seated and once we were seated we did not get helped right away. That being said, the waiters and waitresses were so busy with the amount of people there and once we were helped the service was great. I honestly think it is a reflection of how great the restaurant that it is this busy.

Overall, incredible experience and will definitely be coming back next time I come through town!

We picked the restaurant for its popularity and high praises by the reviewers. Unfortunately we were very disappointed.

Our food was definitely not done right. Our chicken skewers were very dry and tough. When we gave them a second chance by ordering the pork showers, it was again too lean and overcooked. The piñón (plantain and meat pie) was again not moist and soft. The plantain was starchy and tough, probably not ripe? probably in the oven for too long?

To be fair, the side order of amarillo (fried yellow plantain) was nice! Soft and sweet as it should be.

The server was apologetic as they were short handed, with a packed house. I don't blame them but yet, it will also not be fair to call the service great. Anticipating a crowd and putting in sufficient staffing is what we expect from a well managed restaurant, and we definitely didn't see that.

Unfortunately our experience was not nice and it will be difficult to see us coming back to this place.

Absolutely the best flavorful place to eat in Mammoth. If you want something other than burgers and beer, this spot is amazing. My new fav spot. I loved the veggie platter I had and it is adorable cute inside.

Best restaurant in Mammoth. Love that they immediately ask if you need a vegetarian menu. Only one vegan entree but it’s absolutely delicious. They also have a vegan dessert. This spot is always a must while we’re in Mammoth.

I might never eat dinner anywhere else in mammoth again.

Arrived on a ski week Sunday night and at 7pm could not find a place answering phones nor willing to put my name down. Plus my lady has Celiac disease... thought it was going to be a grocery store dinner. But then found these guys with just a half hour wait, and after an appetizing trek from the parking lot in a strong icy wind, stepped into the coziest little restaurant with the nicest waiters and best food and drink! They seated us right away, poured big, even gave us a space heater right under our table, and brought stuff out really quickly even though they were slammed. They joked around with us and encouraged us to take our time even though we were about to be the last ones there. Truly great folk. The Escabeche and Pastelón were to die for. They really turned around the night for us. Thank you Cristi and company!!

I love this place. I try to visit every time I'm up here in Mammoth. Super nice people, very good food, pleasant atmosphere.

Haven't found anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend. The Cuban sandwich is my go-to.
