Food is not very good. Very salty. Poor and slow service. I do not recommend this place. And it is expensive for what you get.

This was super expensive for what you got! I had a bowl with undercooked fried chicken, arugula, and rice for $20. Not worth it at all and not very tasty.

Awww ... this is hard. Was really excited about the menu and the amazing Gojira memorabilia all throughout the restaurant. But ... despite having THE BEST calamari I've had since living in CA for 2 years and a decent side of kimchi, we ordered two specialty sushi rolls at a pretty hefty price point and it was very clear that they were pre-made. We dined about 30min before closing. So, maybe we missed the option for fresh rolls. Bummer. Outside of that ... which was really disappointing (especially for $20 a roll) it was a good experience.

bro honestly youre WAYY better off getting sushi at VONS near here. rolls at Vons are legit 2x cheaper! You get TWICE the amount of sushi AND better fish to rice ratio frfr

i mean this place is ok one time for the one time but wouldve def gotten elsewhere other than this over price joint (ok theyre the only legit sushi store in town but still, see for yourself)

I had high hopes for this ramen spot, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with black garlic, and while the presentation was decent, the flavors fell flat.

The broth lacked depth and richness, which is really the heart of any good tonkotsu. It tasted watered down and didn’t deliver that savory, umami-packed flavor you’d expect. The noodles were overly soft, almost mushy, which made the texture disappointing from the first bite.

The pork was the one bright spot—tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. But even that wasn’t enough to save the overall dish.

They provided a chipotle-based hot sauce, which seemed out of place and clashed with the more traditional tonkotsu and black garlic flavors. It didn’t complement the dish and honestly felt like an odd choice for ramen.

If you’re looking for an authentic ramen experience, this likely isn’t the place. It might satisfy someone new to ramen, but for anyone who’s familiar with the depth and balance of a good bowl, this one misses the mark.

I am visiting from out of town and decided to give Gojira a try. I ordered the Miso Ramen and while the flavor smelled delicious and the first bite was good, it was extremely salty eating the entire ramen! If it were any saltier, it would be inedible (in my opinion). However, I’m not taking away too many stars because I do feel like this is an easy fix, as the rest of my ramen had good noodles and toppings. I also ordered take-out and appreciated that they had the miso broth and the noodles in separate containers as to not get soggy on the drive to our hotel. If they lowered the sodium by like 50%, it would be great!

Not your authentic Japanese ramen. There is a lot of seating, but we had to wait 15 minutes for a table for dinner.
Ordered the Gameramen, which the menu rated as spicy. The noodles were good, but the spice was missing. They charged $1 for asking for extra chili paste, which is ridiculous given that it should have been complimentary.

The service was excellent and it was the quickest I’ve ever gotten sushi before. We sat outside, which was nice and quaint. The sushi was good, but not the best I’ve ever had.

UPDATE: Got food poisoning ☹️

The Spicy Tuna Rice Bowl was fantastic — it came out the kitchen in 5 minutes! Food aside, ain't this just the cutest receipt ever? Bravo, Gojira.

Place had amazing Godzilla posters, toys and decorations. My husband and I are big nerds and had to snag a beanie and hoodie of their logo. Their rolls and takoyaki are also very delicious and their miso had a very unique taste that I very much enjoyed. Will def come back when we 're in Mammoth again!
