Gomez's Mexican Restaurant

Came to eat tonight with my family. We are locals here in this town in the service industry for 20 years. We are always asked where to go for good food and service. I will not be recommending this place anymore. We ordered two margaritas while we waited for a table and they turned out to be very bad prebatched $16 margaritas. When I approached the bartender to ask if we could turn them in for something nicer willing to pay the price difference she told me no. As somebody who works in the service industry, I would never say “sorry, too bad” to a guest. The drinks were already paid for, but we didn’t want to drink them because they were so bad. I felt that it was inappropriate for them to not fix the problem. When my husband came back to make sure that we were charged the appropriate price for a pre-batched margarita, one of the bartenders insulted him in Spanish as he left.(Cabron to be exact) unacceptable. I don’t ever do this, but I felt the need to put it out there. We will not be returning and not recommending anyone to go as well.

Had the chicken tacos, would not recommend. The next day, spent 5 hours in the hospital due to severe food poisoning. Was told “The Mexican restaurants here are notorious for giving food poisoning especially the chicken”.

A lot of meat in the burrito and the quesadillas come with good salsa and excellent guacamole!

Looked better from the outside. The food is very unremarkable and it’s way too dark inside. The price is higher than expected for the quality and service.

Not your average Mexican food. A refreshing take on the regular dishes with some you don't find elsewhere. Try the garlic shrimp!!

Service was Lacking - Waitress's & Host Seem to be Preoccupied inside Restaurant at a Table having there own SOCIAL Event instead of Taking care of Tables !!! Kids were Served Last at our Table which Left them waiting for Longer Period of Time & HANGERY !!! MANAGER was Made aware of issues when Bill was Paid but She was NOT VERY RECEPTIVE TO PROBLEMS & BECAME VERY DEFENSIVE!!! Have Been there MULTIPLE times & Never Really had a GOOD EXPERIENCE!!! WOULD NOT GO BACK AGAIN !!!!!

The shredded beef burrito was excellent along with the service. I’m on vacation and that was a great spot to go eat.
