Fantastic stop if you’re thru-hiking. Get the hotcakes if you’re hungry—they are way bigger than the french toast.

Love this place! First time here and worth to eat after doing trails. Perfect setting in the woods. They open as early as 7 am for breakfast till 10 am and reopens for lunch at 12 noonIce cream was creamy!! Not sure if its locally made but it taste so. The root beer float was perfect thirst quencher. The tuna melt was heavenly!! I can’t forget how tasty it was even though its a simple sandwich. The employees are kind. Kudos to the sweet lady who stirs up desert and taking orders at the same time. She delightfully served the food in our picnic table and was so accommodating.Located in stop 10 red meadows road which is accessible during summer season only

Ordered a vanilla shake while waiting for the shuttle to arrive. They forgot to make it. And by the time they started making, 30 minutes later, I had to leave to catch my bus. Wasted $11!

They took 30 minutes to serve just a single scoop of ice cream. While I understand it was a very busy weekend, the orders could have been managed

This is like a big gathering place for hikers and walkers and people driving from vista point to vista point. Every one is so nice.

We stopped at Reds on our JMT hike to Happy Isles. Such a great spot. Had a burger and Dr Pepper on ice. Store had our resupply canister and some treats for the trail. Shower and laundry a huge treat. We didn’t stay the night but it was an oasis

Possibly the best root beer float on the planet—but I’ll never know because it was $13 and I didn’t get it.

This place was at the end of a 4.5 mile hike from the devil's postpile to rainbow falls. After hiking back out we stopped for water and a burger for the kids. I had an ice cold 25oz Coors Light. Best damn beer I've ever had!

Red's Meadow is a unique location... right on the PCT and JMT while also being on the Red's/Devils Postpile shuttle. Short of heading back into Mammoth, this is the only food option. The store also accepts hiker resupply packages but doesn't offer much else other than some ice cream and cold drinks.

I stopped here for lunch and breakfast while on a through hike of the JMT. For lunch I had a tuna salad and a chocolate malt. The chocolate malt was one of the better ones I've had, tasted like it was made with real ingredients. Tuna salad was average. Next morning I had 2 eggs and 2 pancakes. The breakfast kept me going for a couple hours while on my southbound hike. I rate this a 3.5: OK to good food, but a little expensive.

On a home from Rainbow Falls, we came across this sweet little cafe offering good comfort food. Wendy and Gary run a great little cafe. It was a little pricey but we'll be back! A nice little oasis in the middle of Devil's Postpile National Monument.

I had the best veggie burger. Potato salad was so good, had to order one more.

My son and I visited Reds Meadow while backpacking the JMT. Not much variety, but the food was awesome, delicious and filling! The staff were great and friendly. It was very difficult to get back on the trail after stopping here.
