Very bad experience. I understand that help is in short supply — however bad service in the setting of high prices never makes sense. We came for a birthday celebration— we ordered drinks appetizers and an expensive bottle of Spanish wine. We had the first olives and clams. When ordering. A Caesar salad for 3 — it was dropped off at table— 15 minutes later — table not cleared, dishes still on table — when asking for waiter or manager —- the managers response was “what do you want me to do”….. think twice about Petra’s —- mammoth can do better

Historically this has been a place to go that was not part of the mountain management. We have enjoyed a multitude of special celebrations in the past. We invited our great friend for his 67th birthday. We came with reservations on hand and got seated by the fireplace. This was as good as things would get. We ordered drinks a couple appetizers, a bottle of expensive wine..... the hostess dropped a salad for 3 without cleanr ing appetizer -- we asked after 15 minutes if we could talk to manager -- he came by --- his reply was: what do you want me to do? The service was below level for the price point. I understand that labor is in short supply -- would recommend eating at home and particularly avoiding Petra's.

Great dinner! You have to try the confit and Coq au Vin. Also a great Kioki coffee.

Went here at 5:20pm as a solo person on a random weekday hoping to check out a restaurant I'd not tried yet. My bad for not calling in advance I suppose. There were 0 customers in the restaurant whatsoever, including at all of the tables and at the bar. The hostess took out a pencil and started erasing stuff out of some notebook and told me to wait. I was like cool sure no rush. Then she informed me that unfortunately the entirely empty restaurant, including the bar, "filled up" at 5:15pm for the day, lol (I must have missed the mysterious rush of other non-existent guests by 5 minutes?) I cannot speak for the food or the wine, but it doesn't pass the eye test in photos anyway. Walked over to my fave nearby delicious restaurant instead, so it was all for the best.

I highly recommend Petra's if you love amazing wines and world class food. The mushrooms are a delight. The octopus sublime. But the lamb is delicious. Service is exceptional. I don't have anything negative to say about this restaurant.

We had a horrible experience. This is not a family friendly restaurant and they have a very BIG attitude.

Sat at the bar (didn't have a reservation), ordered several appetizers, glad we didn't go with a full meal. The bartender offered to course out our food, which we took her up on. Long wait for a glass of water, baguette arrived well after the mushroom appetizer, and had to ask about the last two items before they were even ordered. Based on the appetizers alone, wouldn't eat here again, everything needed salt and even then had little flavor. The service was friendly but pretty poor as we had to keep reminding the bartender of our requests.

I'm here at Petra and the food is just amazing. If you sit at the bar, you are guaranteed good wine recommendation a good cocktails, and a good conversation if your bartender is Katelyn. I had ahi pole and I had the chicken which was made in a French style and was just amazing I highly recommend this place. It has been round for a while.

Delicious food, suggest the fried olives and lasagna. Great atmosphere. Amazing service. Would love to come back!

Great atmosphere and amazing staff! Adam and Kendi were the best! They were so kind and accommodating. I loved the text for reservations and adjustments. Great food and drinks! The appetizers were soo good, I almost didn’t need an entree!

At 60+ years of age, my wife and I have had numerous experiences interacting with a restaurant host or hostess. Petra's hostess was, by far, the worst either of us have ever encountered. Not just poor service, but mean spirited, dismissive, and very disrespectful. Before I get into the bad and ugly, here's the good: We appreciated the physical space (nice decor and lighting, comfortable and cozy), the chef's cooking (the crab cakes were delicious), the bartender's mixing, and the woman who served our meals (friendly service with a smile). What happened: We entered the restaurant from the back and headed to the hostess table. As we approached and made eye contact with the hostess, she said with an attitude, "I have to help this person first." Not a "hello", or a welcome of any kind. When it was our turn, I gave my name and the hostess showed us to a table. I noticed a couple identical tables a bit closer to the fireplace, so I asked if we could sit at one of them. She looked annoyed, started walking away and said, "I am busy", like too busy for you, and as if we were putting her out, added, "I will have to check". Her behavior and tone was so inappropriate that we were shocked and aghast, saying "Oh my". She saw and heard us response, but just walked away. Not that it matters, but there wasn't even anyone in line behind us when she took us to the table. Anyhow, the waitress showed up at our table a few minutes later. She offered, then checked with the hostess about the tables, only to return with the news that they were not available. I was not surprised. A few minutes later the hostess walked by and, as hard as this may be to believe, she flashed me a dirty look. If it were not my wife's birthday, I would have complained to the manager. The waitress was not particularly friendly, but was not rude or mean either. When I pulled the waitress aside and told her that it was my wife's birthday, she told me that they would provide a complimentary dessert. During our meal we heard singing of the birthday song at a nearby table. However, when our dessert was delivered there was no singing, not even a "happy birthday" acknowledgement. And when I got home and looked at the receipt, we had been charged for the dessert. The flavor of the swordfish was fine, but it was very thin, about ¼ of an inch thick. I can't imagine returning to this restaurant. I hope this review helps.

Ate there last night. Started off great with yummy appetizers ( duck arancini- although kind of missing the duck part and gnocchi). All 3 entrees we had were NOT good at all. Has the pasta, cow au van and pork. Should have just stuck to appetizers. Wouldn't recommend the entrees to anyone

Let me begin by saying the duck confit is amazing! However.... Anything else is not worth it. The bolognese was maybe worst I've ever had from a restaurant. And the salads were dry and flavorless. Other starters were meh. So much potential with how good the duck was :(

Service was fab! Loved the lamb special and mushroom appetizer, but the other entrees were just ok. Still, we would gladly return.
