Came for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito which had bacon bits and potato and eggs and I added chorizo. It was so good. Husband had bagel and lox which he enjoyed, too. Apple cider was delicious, too. Service was friendly and fast!

A Hidden Gem in Mammoth Village!

Side Door is the best-kept secret in Mammoth! Tucked away in the village, this cozy spot delivers in every way—from food to vibes. Their crepes are absolutely delicious, with a gluten-free batter that’s light, flavorful, and perfect for sweet or savory cravings. Don’t skip the breakfast potatoes—they’re crispy, buttery perfection, easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

The espresso is rich and bold, and their award-winning Bloody Mary? Totally lives up to the hype. Whether you’re coming in for a slow breakfast, a chill lunch, or a cozy dinner with friends, Side Door hits the mark every time. Can’t wait to come back!

We went in for wine and dinner however the place was totally empty. The staff were eating their meal when we walked in and it looked like we disturbed them. I asked them what was on the happy hour menu and she didn’t know if they had a happy hour and told me it ended at 5. I told her it ended at 6 and she had no idea of what was on the menu and said the tapas and a cocktails might be 10% off. Well we ended up leaving a bit disappointed however if you look at other reviews I think we made the best decision.

A dark, empty, and depressing place. The employees were sitting in the back playing on their phones. My order was taken by a young lady who looked like she'd just woken up from a nap, and the cook seemed annoyed that he had to get up from his chair.
I couldn't eat my sandwich because the meat tasted so bad. It was completely overcooked, dry, and salty. A horrible experience.

Amazing local spot. Service at the bar is super friendly. Dog friendly, which is a huge plus. Albondigas meatballs are a must, easily the best thing on the menu. Perfect place to chill and decompress after a day on the runs.

This place has great food and really good drinks and also has a full coffee bar. If you come and it’s cold outside, please try the hot apple cider

We like the place, but on our last visit it was starting to feel a little worn, A little sprucing up would make it perfect.

Great food and hot bartenders. Highly recommend the albondigas meatballs and the crepes (not together).

We stopped for wine and beer. The wine pour was less than expected.

Their kitchen is not big enough to handle the amount of customers they have and therefore they close it for extended periods of time. There is also limited seating and the service is slow.

Had a great time chatting with staff and other customers at the bar. Very friendly and engaging!

I usually don't leave reviews or get involved in these matters, but I feel compelled to share my experience because this was by far the worst encounter I've had at a restaurant.

To start, I want to acknowledge that the food was good, and the kitchen staff was kind enough to apologize for the behavior of those working at the front. Unfortunately, the behavior at the cashier completely overshadowed everything else.

I had ordered a bottomless mimosa but later decided to cancel it upon realizing I wouldn’t be able to finish the bottle by myself. At any reputable establishment, it’s reasonable to cancel something that hasn’t been opened, served, or prepared. However, my request was met with an unacceptable level of hostility.

The first staff member who assisted me not only refused to handle the situation professionally but actually CURSED at me (which I know other workers from the kitchen heard because they apoligized in his behalf). He placed his hand on my shoulder and repeatedly addressed me as “sweetheart” in a dismissive and passive-aggressive manner. This behavior was completely inappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable.

He then called over another staff member, who I initially hoped would be more understanding. Unfortunately, this person was also rude and kept trying to convince me not to cancel the order, again using condescending nicknames. He even accused me of planning to drink from my friend’s bottles instead, which was both baseless and offensive. I explained that I simply didn’t want to drink anymore and wouldn’t finish the bottle on my own.

After I finally received my refund, this second staff member came to my table to ‘apologize’ while handing me the receipt—only to return moments later with more accusations, saying, “Oh, now I see what you are doing,” when I was simply drinking what I had ordered instead of mimosas, and had my personal waterbottle on the table.

Justifying their actions by commenting on their drinking policies or explaining how bottomless mimosas work completely misses the point. Under no circumstances should a customer ever be cursed at, touched, or treated with such blatant disrespect. Basic courtesy and professionalism are essential in customer service, and the level of passive-aggressiveness I experienced here was shocking.

I understand that negative reviews can be damaging to a business, and it’s unfortunate that I have to write this. However, the behavior I encountered went far beyond what is acceptable and needed to be addressed.

Not to mention that the first guy was also extremely rude to his co-workers saying that is why he works at the front and not back at the kitchen.

Food and prices were great, and the atmosphere was warm and trendy. I very rarely review restaurants, but I had to for this one because I was extremely offended by two of the employees who worked here. The bald guy accused my friend of ripping them off when she asked for a refund (before the drinks came out), and then another employee rudely came to our table trying to “catch us in the act” of sharing drinks, but then apologized when he realized that we weren’t… I also witnessed the bald guy saying demeaning things to the cooks in the back, including, and I quote: “that’s why I work up here and not back there”. He later apologized to one of the members in our group and comped one of our meals, but overall we will NOT be coming back here, despite enjoying the food and responsible prices. To clarify, the servers were fine— it was just the hosts up front.

Really really TERRIBLE. Do not come here. They cussed at my friends for trying to simply trying to cancel her order of bottomless mimosas and accused her of trying to drink the mimosas that one of my friends ordered when she wasn’t.
