Outstanding in all areas. Excellent menu choices. Well prepared, outstanding presentation.
We love coming here every time we're in the area. The food and service are always amazing. We had the scallop and ribeye cap steak special—so delicious! We'll be back again 🤗
Consistently a favorite when in the area. Food and service great, personable, and friendly. Great wine list and cocktails too.
Charming, old fashioned dining experience, superb service, beautiful location. We are definitely coming back and telling our friends.
The restaurant at Convict Lake is consistently great! The food is great, the ambiance is warm and inviting and the service excellent. We had Cherise as our waitress, she was so friendly and kind! If you are visiting Mammoth, I would highly recommend dining at Convict Lake.
Another great meal at Convict Lake. Cherese was a fantastic and accommodating server. We had a very enjoyable time for my spouse's birthday. The restaurant was not very crowded and was quieter than last time.
Like always, we ENIOYRD our dinner. We split the garlic appetizer, the Caesar salad, the soup de jour, and the venison. Too bad we ran out of room for dessert!
Great Food, Great Bar, all with Excellent Service!! A very long time favorite with my family & friends!
Restaurant at Convict Lake is always an excellent choice to dine... have gone for many years and you won't be disappointed... John - long time waiter is personable and friendly plus can recommend the perfect choice for your dinning experience
The trio mushrooms appetizer was fantastic. My wife's special halibut dinner was outstanding! My beef Wellington was slightly over cooked but still a great tasting dinner. No room for dessert but they looked delicious.

This is the hidden gem of the Sierras. I have always been surprised at the iffy dining opportunities in Mammoth Lakes, but this blew my socks off. The food was excellent - I had a rack of lamb that was perfectly cooked to medium rare. The sides were flavorful and well executed. The dining room has an old time western feel, but not worn or outdated. Just timeless. We had our small dog with us and they made allowances by putting us in an emptier room, and let the dog stay on the floor under the table. The service was friendly and informative, truly proud of the place and it's preeminent place in the hearts of the community (many would go for special occasions). Don't miss this place. The lake has a nice easier hike around it as well, if you have time.
The food and our waitress was excellent. What was disappointing? Is that when we booked that we said it was our anniversary. There was never a mention of that and my daughter tried to send us a bottle of wine as an anniversary gift during dinner which she left messages and called repeatedly to the resort, and they never returned her phone call, even though there were notes written next to our name and reservation time that I saw when we checked in. Other than that, it was great.
This is such a great place to have a fantastic meal in one of most beautiful places on earth! Thanks for making it such a great experience for all of us!
Perfect 10 every time. We make several visits every year and have for 50 years. Convict should be on your list.
I believe that this is one of the best restaurants in CA. If you are ever in Mammoth Lakes (6 miles away) or Bishop (30 miles away) it would definitely be worth the drive! The pork tenderloin is divine.
