The Restaurant at Convict Lake

Am I crazy to expect good quality service when I'm spending nearly $100 per person. Our waiter, Wayne, was obviously overwhelmed. We had to cancel drinks and flag waiters down in order to get boxes and bus our table. It also took nearly an hour for us to get our entrees. Food was great, ambience was great, service ruined it.

The restaurant has been consistently excellent every time we've eaten there over the past 20 years. Last night my husband's pasta and my beef Wellington were both wonderful. Bartender Janice and server Charlize (sp?) were very attentive and provided great service. We'll be back!

I've been going up there for years and never had a chance to try the restaurant. Absolutely insanely good food. The beef wellington was out of this world. Plus, all the changing colors of the Aspens. Gorgeous, as well!!!! Will definitely visit again.

The food and service are exceptional. This restaurant is always outstanding and that is their own expectation. The Restaurant at Convict Lake is the place to go for a quiet, high quality food, service, and ambiance dining experience.

The restaurant has always been a favorite and Kirt the manager is always willing to go the extra mile to make your dining experience one to remember.

The service provided by Daniel was outstanding and food was delicious. Restaurant staff was impressed.

Charming restaurant in a stunning location. A little off the main track for a restaurant, but I've dined here several times over the years, and it is always a great experience.

It was a wonderful evening with friendly service, wonderful food , and nice wine selection.

Wonderfully prepared food. Scallops were delectable. My ribeye was good, but not a "10". Great wine list snd super desserts and apps. Recommend!!

This is my favorite restaurant on the Eastside. I ate here for the first time 50+ years ago. I especially recommend the crab cake and the duck. Split the duck, you might then have room for the Belgian Ganache. Share that too!

The Restaurant at Convict Lake is an Eastern Sierra classic. Setting is beautiful, service is gracious, food is high quality if not cutting-edge. Menu is varied. Eating there is always a memorable experience.

We love escaping to the eastside, but had never been to the Restaurant at Convict Lake. Feels like we've been missing out until tonight! Thank you to Elijah, our server, who was personable and attentive and served up a mean flambe at the table next to ours. All of our food was fantastic, along with the drinks. The ambience at the restaurant is great, and the location cant be beat. Try to line up a reservation for right before or after sunset to make the most of it! Thanks so much for a great night, we will be back!

Fantastic Restaurant. I'm a foodie and Everything was outstanding. The pear salad was ridiculously amazing. Accompanied by warm sourdough bread - so good! We all ordered different entrees. Steak frites ~ best ever. Rack of lamb ~,whole rack perfectly cooked. The Duck was delicious. And to top it off, they have fresh blue cheese olives for my slightly dirty martini. Oh and then came dessert! Mouth watering Apple Strudel. Total Yum.

Dinner at the Restaurant at Convict Lake was a pleasant surprise. The food, service and ambiance were all outstanding, the wine list is excellent.

Food was delicious, server was fantastic & ambiance was good. I would definitely come for dinner again
