This was the WORST food experience I have had in a long time. I ordered the chicken wings which were described as being giant with a sweet & spicy blue cheese sauce and served with homemade ranch. They were basically heated up frozen wings with whatever buffalo sauce must come by the gallon. I asked where the sweet & spicy sauce was or the blue cheese and was informed tersely that they were out. Huh? My friend ordered the Carne Asada tacos and they were inedible. The meat was dry and stringy and even the beans were mushy. My friend commented she had never before had beans so bad. The Mac & Cheese for our kiddo companion was fine but you could have the same thing by heating up a Stouffers. Eat here at your own risk! I told our server that the food was not good and she said OK as she walked away. They must be used to that comment!

Good food and service. Prompt and friendly. We would go back. Clam chowder was the soup Of the day.

Baked Brie on the appetizer menu was not warm. Filet mignon was fatty. Service was good! It was a very pleasant location and atmosphere.

Giving 1 star due to poor service. Staff attitude sucks! Would recommend the burger shack across the street.

The food was beyond delicious! The baked Brie and wild buffalo meatloaf were VERY tasty. Even with a group of 26, who were seated right after we arrived, the staff was warm and pleasant. Our waitress was super friendly! We had a nice conversation about her knee injury. We wish her the best and a quick recovery! ??
Honestly I really don't know why they have this many high reviews. The food was really average.

My boyfriend and I visit Mammoth a few times a year. We have eaten at many of the yummy restaurants in town and recently ate at Toomey's for the first time. To say that the food was amazing would be an understatement. There just aren't words to describe just how yummy our meal was. We stopped in for a late lunch last Sunday and we split the buffalo meatloaf. It was like eating a delicate, savory cloud! The meat melted in my mouth, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since it graced my grateful tongue. Matt Toomey is clearly a culinary magician. I can't wait to go back to Toomey's and eat again, but I will not be only eating half of a dish there again (unless I get half of my boyfriend's too lol)

From the outside this place doesn't seem like much but the food is excellent, the service is great, and I didn't have a wait time.

This restaurant was relatively empty passing by, but it was undoubtably the best meal we had in Mammoth. Far better than any of the other village restaurants. We had a party of 12 and they seated us quickly. Everyone loved their food: the lamb, seafood jambalaya, pork chop, buffalo meatloaf, and seared Ahi were exquisite. Amazing flavor. The mashed potatoes reminded me of my grandma's famous potatoes. Also amazing atmosphere with baseball memorabilia dedicated to Royals and Padres legends. Great dining experience and massive wine pours.

This place is fantastic! Food is great, staff is wonderful, and the prices won't kill the wallet (it is a resort town...) . The jambalaya was out of this world! And the Buffalo meatloaf was great! If you are in the area do a dinner at Toomey's! I guarantee you'll love it!
