The food was delicious, the staff were very accommodating and the ambience was lovely. Vulcania is a must!
We were a party of two with a 5:30 reservation. We walked in and immediately we were taken to our table and given menus. The manager David and our server Juliet suggested their favorites as well as new items on the menu. We ordered the suggested appetizer Ham&cheesecake, which was so tasty. Since the suggested appetizer a hit week continued with there suggestions. I ordered the Crab with squid ink pasta and and my husband ordered the Steak on the menu. Can't remember the exact name of the two dishes but let me tell they were fantastic. Of course we ordered the suggested dessert not sure what we ate but the dessert had olive oil cake and yes it was fantastic.
Best Caprese ever! Unbedingt probieren.
Usually, Vulcania gives us amazing food, decent cocktails, and fair service. Background info: we visit the restaurant once or twice a year depending on how often we visit Mammoth. I am a huge Voltaggio brothers fan, so this is kind of a bucket list restaurant for me. In the last, we had some servers/staff who were indifferent, at best. However, because the food was so good, we continued to come back. This time, the food was a serious downgrade. I'm not sure what happened, but my husband and I were both so disappointed. We had the Caprese. The burrata was delicious. The pesto was bland, and the fried green tomato was so thin that I couldn't even taste the tomato. The smoked mozzarella app was just heavy and dint seem balanced. For our entrees, we split the Margherita pizza. It was good, as always. We also split the Cheese ravioli. It was so one-note. Just heavy, heavy cheese. It's described as cacio e pepe flavors, so I was expecting that bite of pepper to cut through the cheese. It do not, sadly. All I tasted was heavy, bland cheese. The one really good thing about this visit was our server. I wish I could remember her name because she was absolutely. Kind, attentive without being obtrusive, and informative. I may try the restaurant again when we are back in June. Hopefully it improves back to its original level!
Food was amazing and the espresso martini was one of the best I have had. We had the Orecchiette and the Ravioli Bolognese... both were amazing! Highly recommend asking for a side of bread with their shallot butter! Really a meal to remember!
Cam was our server. He gave us the absolute best recommendations. Highly recommend the mortadella toast appetizer, and the rigatoni pasta. Both were very unique and tasted out of this world. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I live in Mammoth and eat here all the time. Hands down best restaurant in Mammoth. Love the food and cocktails. Servers are always the best. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent. Service was ok but it took a while to get refills and a glass of wine. Overall a good experience. We would definitely return.
Vulcania will be a go-to restaurant any time we are in Mammoth. Cameron, behind the bar, was very helpful in choosing our cocktails, and great recommendations for food. Don't know what the woman's name was, but she was very helpful as well. Page was our waitress and she was great. Food was fantastic, and the chef even sent us a complimentary dish of roasted brussel sprouts. Yummy! Pastas are homemade and cooked perfectly. We will be back!!
Great restaurant. Food was excellent with good portion sizes. Salads were very tasty with lots of flavor.

Service and food were very good. The open floor plan makes it fairly noisy. But overall, nice place for dinner.
Really wanted to like this. Service, Ambiance, cocktails and bar were amazing. Food is just not good to mediocre at best. Pizza, appetizers and cocktails are probably the key to happiness here! Server Zoe was great
Shout out to Cam and the entire team for making our dinner so wonderful! We sat in the outdoor pods which was really fun and alleviated any stress of interrupting others with noise from the two kiddos in our group. Cocktails were on point and our food was fabulous. Shrimp scampi risotto was an overall favorite of the table as well as the basic cheese pizza! Don't miss the chance to dine here when you're in Mammoth.
First time eating at Vulcania. Our server Jasmine was fantastic! Food was great! We will definitely be back!

From the time we walked in until we left everyone was above and beyond hospitable. We loved that the host asked us what area we would like to sit in. We ended up in the perfect corner high top where we could really enjoy the energetic ambiance of the restaurant. Our server, Dakota, was so helpful with our ordering decisions and all her advice was perfect...everything was delicious. I mentioned to her that I was amazed with the wine list and she had the sommelier come by to greet us and discuss the wines! So interesting! Thinking about going back again before we leave on Sunday!
