Amazing drinks, food, sides. Had the New York, smashed broccoli, mashed potatoes, New Fashion, shrimp scampi app.
As You Walk In I Would Say It's One Of The Nicest BOA's Steak Restaurants I've Been To. Our Waiter Jason Was Incredible At Breaking Down The Menu & Cocktails. Food Was Amazing, The Staff Was Very Attentive & Kind. Will Def Visit This Steakhouse Soon!
Great experience from the hostesses to our server and the manager checking in on us! Service was already great but the food and drinks great as well truly brought the whole experience together. Will definitely be returning!
Overpriced, Over half of one of the most expensive cuts of meat was inedible, server inattentive, bartender rude and lackluster bourbon selection for a high end steakhouse. Have had better steaks and experiences at low end hole in the wall steakhouses. 10/10 do not recommend š š
Jason was an amazing waiter. He definitely made sure our first time coming to Boa was an experience. The food was delicious too. Thank you Gloria and Jose. We will definitely become regulars here now.
Enjoyed an evening at BOA which was supper. The lunches are great ..lunch menu offers a great selection. Great place for quiet ambiance
Once we sat down, the experience was good. But having four hostesses standing at the front desk telling all guests that they would check them in but it would be a few minutes for the table and then standing around and doing nothing is a bad look. There were four groups with a 7pm reservation all squeezed inside the doorway wondering what was going on. All of us waited 15-20 minutes with no explanation or apology. Even worse, beyond taking our names, they acted like we were invisible.
An Unforgettable Evening at BOA Steakhouse, Manhattan Beach.
BOA Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach truly delivers an exceptional dining experience that lives up to its reputation. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was sophisticated yet inviting, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
My choice for the evening was the 16 oz. New York steak, and it was nothing short of perfection. Priced just over $100, the quality absolutely shone through. The steak arrived with a magnificent, flavorful crust ā a testament to expert preparation ā and was cooked precisely to a medium-rare as requested. Each bite was tender, juicy, and rich with beefy flavor. It was, without a doubt, one of the best steaks I've had.
While the menu is entirely a la carte, the sides we chose complemented the meal beautifully. The mashed potatoes, while a substantial $28, were incredibly creamy and decadent, a true indulgence. The asparagus, at $36, was fresh, perfectly cooked, and a welcome green counterpoint to the richness of the steak and potatoes.
Beyond the food, a few drinks with the family and a couple of other entrees rounded out our order. The service throughout the evening was attentive and professional, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and every need was met without being intrusive.
All told, with tip, our dinner came in just over $400, and for such an amazing and perfectly executed meal, it felt like an investment in a truly special evening. For those seeking an unforgettable steakhouse experience with top-tier food and service in a fantastic setting, BOA Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach is highly recommended. Itās the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner or when you simply want to treat yourself to an unparalleled culinary delight.
Consistent with flavor.
We dined at Boa in Manhattan Beach and the overall experience was superb. We didnāt have reservations for Motherās Day ( I recommend you make reservations) but they were still able to seat us. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming.
The steaks were all cooked to perfection and so flavourful. I recommend the Japanese wagyu, it was the best! Also the smoked bourbon was exquisite. We celebrated a graduation and Motherās Day and they surprised us with dessert at the end of dinner and they were delectable! I wish I wouldāve snapped more pictures.
Our server Heather was very attentive and provided excellent customer service. The rest of the staff was great as well. The manager even stopped by to say hello! Canāt wait to return.
Restaurantji Recommends
Everything was good under we tasted the 15 day aged ribeye. We both ordered the same. Steaks were tender and juice but the amount of salt was so much they were bitter. Didnt enjoy ..we will go back to their competitor next time. You pay 65 per steak and they ruined. Server offered free dessert as a consolation after we complained. We didnt accept since we are not into desserts.
The front desk staff is the reason this is 3 stars. So incredibly rude. They never helped, only talked amongst themselves.
The service at Boa is truly exceptional. I've been a loyal patron of Joey's for years, but this was only my second visit to Boa, and I can confidently say it outshines any steak restaurant I've ever been to. Our waiter, James, was both talented and exceptionally engaging, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Throughout our two-hour stay, during which we celebrated my dad's birthday, the staff consistently checked on us, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The food was not only beautifully presented but also deliciously prepared, exceeding our expectations at every turn. Overall, it was a memorable evening filled with wonderful flavors and attentive service. Thanks to Jeffrey who was our waiter when we visited in April.
Where do I start with this review. I rarely write reviews but this time I felt extremely compelled. My husband and I went to BOA in Manhattan Beach to celebrate our late 6 month wedding anniversary and my birthday. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like VIPs. We were 15 mins early for our 7pm Saturday night reservation so we expected to wait until our table was available. To our surprise it was already reserved for us. Upon sitting we were told we know you are celebrating so please let us know if you need anything.
The attentive service was just the start. John our server was amazing. He did not walk by our table once without making sure we had everything we needed. Coincidentally his father is a local musician and my husband, also a local musician knew him. Itās such a small world in the South Bay.
Every manager who works at Boa; Michelle, Vinny all stopped by our table personally to welcome us and ensure we were having an incredible experience. Michelle, the manager, by far stood out as the star to me. The entire restaurant was packed but she made it a point to constantly check on us. What a gem she is and BOA is lucky to have her. Really, one of the best managers at a restaurant Iāve had the privilege of interacting with. Kevin, who made our table side Caesar salad was not only friendly but knowledgeable and walked us through each part of how their perfect Caesar is made.
The drinks from the bar, impeccable. Any cocktail with an egg white you have me sold. I loved my cocktail. My husband got an old fashioned, said it was the best he has ever had. Noting that he is also a bartender so that means a lot. From the appetizers; deviled eggs with caviar, hamachi crudo, even the bread I canāt even explain how good it was. My husband and I both had filets. Probably the best steak I have ever had in my lifetime. Iām incredibly picky about the cook on my steak as I like it medium and always find it to be too rare but this was perfection.
To top it off their wine list is incredible as well. We also had what they called a āboujeeā baked potato and let me tell you, it was that! A twice baked potato with 2 types of caviar! I mean Geezus! Never seen or eaten anything like it. After trying pretty much every appetizer plus the amazing steaks; we finished our meal with the sticky toffee pudding and Irish coffees.
I cannot say enough about not only the food, but the staff. I have never been treated nicer in any establishment ever. To say this restaurant strives for excellence exudes from every single person who works there. The hostess, waiters, managers (especially Michelle), bussers. I cannot recommend a restaurant more! Pencil me in for my table every 3rd Saturday!
We sat at the table for more than 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink order. The espresso martinis are served in a fun manner. My fillet was delicious and cooked perfectly. The quality of the ribeye was questionable. The brussels sprouts were burnt and acrid tasting. Once our entrées arrived, we asked for another round of drinks. The drinks did not arrive until we were almost done with our entrées. We didn't even want dessert by this time and ended up going someplace else for dessert. Sadly we did not have a stellar first experience and will probably never go back.
