My wife and I ate here on a whim, and it did not disappoint. We were on a time crunch so we decided to takeout. The three cup chicken and short rib dan mein were big hits in our house. Dumplings were also excellent. We look forward to dining at the restaurant again! Keep up the good work!

A version of Din Tai Fung that's not as refined in both food or service. Arrived at 7:00-ish and it wasn't crowded. Service took longer than expected to be noticed but once our orders were placed, food arrived quickly. We tried the pork crab, pork shrimp, shrimp crab sauce, baby bok choy, broccoli, and a vegetable noodle dish. All were good except we didn't care for the noodle dish or the shrimp crab sauce. Servers were hard to find and we had to wave them down several times: for sauces, to ask for small plates for dipping sauces, rice, and additional plates. No one seemed to want to voluntarily help us. I think there's better places in the area to feed your belly, but if you're in the mood for dumplings and are ok with not-the-best-service, then this is your place!

The ambiance and decor of this place are very stylist and modern, just like in its name. The food is fantastic and delicious. It's comes out in a family style dish pipping hot, and you can see the heat waves coming off the plate and the aroma from the dish makes your mouth watery that you can't even wait to spoon the food onto your plate to start devouring the delicious dish. You should invite your family and friends or enjoy a relaxing night from cooking and bring your girlfriend to enjoy their take on delicious authentic Chinese food cooked to order. We ordered the short rib garlic dan chow mein, three cup chicken, baby bok choy with garlic with pork, and chicken dumplings. It was the best Chinese dinner I've had in a while. It made me forget about all those imitation Chinese restaurant, what's the name, oh yeah, PF Chang's, forget about it, come to Dan Modern Chinese if you want to enjoy some delicious Chinese food cooked to order family style that comes of pipping hot to enjoy with everyone at your table!!! Only one place to go is Dan Modern Chinese, I hope to see you there.

We tried the xiao long bao dumplings and they’re super good. The green beans were also very good. They reminded me of the ones from din tai fung. Overall, great place for dumplings!

I saw this restaurant on IG and live relatively close and wanted to try. Dan Modern Chinese did not disappoint me. Every dish and the dumplings were flavorful and delicious. I'm definitely going back to try other dishes on the menu ?

It's very delicious. The restaurant is clean, spacious and bright. The fried rice is super delicious, with distinct grains. The most amazing thing is the stir-fried spinach, which is completely Taiwanese-style, not greasy, and brings out the sweetness of the dish. The price is slightly higher, but worth it.

Worst Chinese food ever ! And it’s over priced to booth. We ordered the full size and it’s was not large , hardly any meat or veggies , just fat fried noodles! The dumplings were full of oil and no pork, oh and small.

before ordering, my dad asked the waiter the comparison between lunch portions and full size. the waiter showed us the bowls as size comparison. they brought our main dishes and appetizers at the same time. My dads order came with a size of rice and the bowl wasnt filled up all the way. when my dad asked for the bowl to be filled all the way, the waiter explained that for lunch portion they only do half a scoop of rice (basically nothing) and my dad then asked for the full portion instead. The waiter went to ask his boss if it was ok instead of just bringing us a full portion. which i thought was dumb. they brought our food pretty quick but they didnt bring out our last dish until we were completely done eating. the waiter failed to check on us adequately and our water glasses were empty for the duration of our meal. The restaurant claims to be "overstaffed" yet theres only one waiter (which i suppose makes sense for lack of customers).
