It’s a worthy dive bar with a frigging delicious hamburger. We went for the atmosphere having walked by on our vacation to Manhattan Beach and had to go back. If you love an authentic old bar and are happy with a great cheeseburger and chips and can overlook a sticky table and a bit scary bathroom situation, this is your spot. A breath of fresh air from our usual bougie eating in South Bay. Did I mention the burger was delicious??

Stop by this perfect dive bar for a frosty cold throat tickler and stay for the burgers. The hand pressed patties are large and done right. We asked to split the burger so they gave us separate baskets, a pickle each and chips. The staff is upbeat and on top of their game. Drinks are made right.

This burger is so good - had to stop by on Super Bowl Sunday for one! Metered street parking was easy to find down the street, and the vibes were great! I didn't come with anyone but everyone at the bar was pretty welcoming. This might be my favorite burger in Manhattan Beach. So juicy every time, and definitely worth the $12. Service was friendly as well.

WHAT THE HECK!! Ercoles 1101 in Manhattan Beach is one AWESOME "Dive Bar"!! We were walking around Manhattan Beach when we came across Ercoles 1101. We all decided to drop in and have a couple of drinks before exploring more of the city. While waiting for our drinks at the bar, one of the staff members was making burgers. We already had reservations for dinner that evening, but we all could not resist trying the burgers. Wowza!! The burgers that they make taste FANTASTIC!!! The 5 of us unanimously agreed that the burger was one of the best we'd ever eaten anywhere!! To find this delicious a burger at a dive bar was a total surprise!! Don't be fooled by appearances, Ercoles 1101 is one GEM of a place. If you don't want to go inside to order your burger, then they do have a window where you can place your order while you wait outside. So do yourself a favor and stop by Ercoles 1101 whenever you find yourself in Manhattan Beach. They've been around since 1927, and I think they will be continue to be here for many more years to come. Can't wait to return every time we are in town.

This place is the "OG' dive bar on Manhattan beach. The real secret to this place is the burger. The burger at Ercoles is increbible. I mean, really, really good. They get their beef from the butcher next door and gril them right in front of you on a charcoal grill. They know exactly how to serve the burger. Just the right lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, mayo and they even grill the bun. Its hard to find a better burger in the southbay. You are mising out if you do not eat this burger once in your life. And they have an excellent array of cold beers on tap and spirts to quench your thirst. Don't miss this place.

Fun little dive bar down by the water - but my god, if this isn't the best burger in Los Angeles, it's close.

When I get a craving for a burger and beer, there is no place I'd rather experience than Ercs. No frills all smiles. Order your food and drinks then go find your table and someone will bring your food to you. The burger just melts in my mouth. No fries. Just chips. I ate it slow and enjoyed every morsel. A couple of beers help make the walk home fun.

From what I hear the regulars come here all the time. I understand why the bartenders are awesome attentive, friendly, fun, personable, the hamburgers are delicious. There are always strangers to make friends at this place.
