What a truly enjoyable restaurant. Genuine and sincere all around: the food, the service and the ambience. It's a great spot for enjoying yourself at the raw bar of sports bar by yourself, date night, dinner with friends, family dinner (with kids), etc. They have a pretty extensive menu with weekly night special. I contemplated giving them 4 or 5 stars but decided to go with the 5 star rating because they are not pretentious and their food is decent value for good quality seafood.

First of all, picked Wednesday evening dinner to check out the snow crab weekly special day (20% off wine bottle). You get a pound of snow crab with 2 sides ($2 to sub in house salads and soups) for $39.99. The crab was great the saw it was naturally prepared, didn't even need the butter. The side options are extensive, especially when you can sub in 3 types of salad and soups. Picked the mashed potato, which was amazing and ceasar salad.

We also enjoyed the Happy Hour menu. The oysters and Peruvian scallops were fresh and the coconut shrimp and fried calamari were lightly battered and well-seasoned.

Also we had amazing service. Friendly and positive energy from our main server and the staff who bussed our plates were professional and efficient.

Definitely coming back to try other things on the extensive menu (sandwiches, grilled seafood plates, sides, soups and salad) and they also do brunch.

Vegetarian options: They have salads and sides (may not be vegan due to butter and dairy products)

Parking: There is a two story paid meter parking structure across the street. There are also street parking on main street Manhatthan Beach and walk over.

Kid-friendliness: I saw groups with children. Have not seen a baby but I believe they have high top chairs available.

I was staying a block away and stopped in for lunch. I was looking to get some fresh fish and veggies and I got exactly what I was looking for. In addition the service was top notch.

I wish I had taken more photos but we were starving! The Swordfish special was outstanding. My Ahi Bowl was fabulous tho I would have loved some dried nori on it. Friend had Baja tacos and wolfed them down, would have loved 3 in the order rather than 2, but they were definitely satisfied. Great lunch.

My wife and daughter are gluten sensitive and they were exposed to gluten from the wheat the restaurant put on the fries. The staff and management are not trained to understand food allergies, specifically gluten, as the manager and waiter asked my wife if butter was what she was allergic to. The manager said that they used fries that already had wheat on them but couldn't warn us before my wife ate one. We also received subpar service and the staff seemed annoyed with my wife and daughter's allergy to gluten. Very disappointed and a warning to any gluten sensitive folks out there. This place has no clue and got my family sick.

We looked for a seafood place near the beach and found Fishbar. The atmosphere, service, and food were all top notch. We had the salmon bites, brussel sprouts, and coconut shrimp from the happy hour menu. Also had the coconut crusted mahi mahi and lobster tacos. Every dish was scrumptious. Our server was attentive and fun. Will definitely come back when we’re in the area.

Fishbar is not terrible, but there are much better options in the area. Food is overpriced for what you get. It's somewhere between an Applebee's and a Bonefish. The wait staff was very nice.
