Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

I always come to this Handels and the service is always great ! We went today to order quarts for the house ! And we were attended by DAVID ! He was so friendly and kind! Having to scoop up those quarts didn’t look so easy! But he did so with a smile ! I felt so bad because we ordered a few , but he was really happy to attend us!

So many irresistible ice cream flavors, there’s something for everyone. I usually get the four scoop sampler, but they have cones, shakes, pops, sundaes, and more!

I got the 4 scoop sampler to try it out, all the flavors were really good, but it’s not the best ice cream that I ever had, but it was still pretty good, super overhyped tbh, definitely worth trying out.

It was the best ice cream I’ve ever had! There were two lines, but they moved very quickly. I chose pineapple-coconut and black raspberry , absolutely delicious! The price was also reasonable.

I love their ice cream, but today I purchased a quart of Graham Central Station and when I got home, it was pretty melted. Even when the associate scooped the ice cream and closed the lid, it looked quite melted, but I didn't realize it was that bad. It only took me ten minutes to get home, and usually, it's not this melted. Two weeks ago, I bought ice cream from their Downey location, and even after a 20-minute drive home, it wasn't nearly as melted as this. I am very disappointed with how they stored their ice cream.

The ice cream flavored was weak, tasting mostly of cream with not much else. This was true for peppermint stick, black cherry, gingerbread, blue monster.

My black cherry was also very icy.

So many ice cream shops, why can none of them be better than regular ol’ BR?

Just tried this ice cream shop for the first time. Very good. They have huge selection of flavors that they say are made fresh daily. Ice cream tasted sooo yummy. It’s a must try! Staff was also very friendly and helpful

Number one - always the rudest staff. Every time I go there, I swear I’ll never go back. Then I happen to be in the area w my small kids and they want ice cream, so I cave.

Secondly- again- I’m always so surprised they don’t offer any sort of kids cup or single scoop for children especially in an area that’s filled w small children and families. They won’t even allow you to get a small with TWO flavors (even though it comes w two scoops) to accommodate kids who want a different flavor. Just zero accommodation for small kids. Then the size small is SO much ice cream that obviously a young child can’t even come close to finishing.

I understand this is first world problems, but literally drives me nuts every single time.

Today was our FINAL visit (where i was essentially forced to get a size medium for $9.25) just to appease two 5 year olds and it comes with three and half scoops (huge!) with two flavors. Ridiculous.

I feel silly even writing a review about ice cream, but do yourself a favor and go one plaza over to The Point for ice cream that happily accommodates kids AND they’re always so kind.

This is easily one of my favorite places to get ice cream! They have a great selection of flavors as well as their Oreo ice cream sandwiches. I can't wait to go back & try new flavors!

Literally cannot stop visiting this place. Beware the "small" size will still get you 3 hearty scoops. Also, prepare to get your hands dirty; go for the bigger cones. Go-to favorite is the peanut butter brownie but be ready for heartburn afterwards.
