This place is always good. It has great food and drinks. The pastas and breads are amazing. The chicken dishes are amazing too. The salads were delectable and healthy. Good place to eat lunch .

The restaurant was almost completely empty, the service was slow and inattentive. Had to ask for water three times. Had to locate our waiter twice and had to request salad plates when we ordered a Caesar salad to be split.

I find this restaurant is hit or miss. I've had their tagliatelle bolognese last year and it was great. I just had it again Saturday night and was very dissatisfied. The pasta was overcooked and the bolognese was only browned meat; no tomato sauce at all. It was dry; pasta and meat, that's it. I asked for extra sauce and it took forever. Our waiter was nice but said the kitchen had to heat extra sauce. I asked for both marinara (which I've asked for extra before and it came quickly) and also asked for extra bolognese sauce (which also took forever). I was charged extra for the sauces and they took so long to get; I was already full and couldn't enjoy my pasta the way it was supposed to be. At least the extra bowl of bolognese had tomato sauce in it which is how it should be. It should have been that way with my initial serving and order.

My experience was overall very good. The dishes had great flavor and were clearly made with care. There were a couple of small delays with service, but the staff was friendly and made sure everything turned out right. The atmosphere was cozy, and I left feeling satisfied. I would visit again. Every dish had rich flavor, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they prepare. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who loves good Italian food. -RCJ

This is my husband‘s favorite restaurant. We have been going here for years and have a really good relationship with David who is an excellent server there whenever he sees my name on the reservation list he automatically sits us in his station. It's like visiting his home. We are so welcomed and so well care for. We brought friends that have never been to this restaurant and we had a blast with David no problems got everything we needed. Definitely will come again maybe with a whole Nother group of friends.

Our server, David, was exceptional as always. The food was prepared very well and the crepe dessert was amazing! Thank you!

Wonderful food with great service in an inviting and warm environment. Our "go-to" for Italian food.!!

Surprised at how empty it was on a Saturday night. This used to be our go-to Italian restaurant. Granted it was 9:30p and we were the last to be served, I was still disappointed in my main entree, the special chicken-asparagus risotto. Gnocchi appetizer and salads (beet and caprese) were decent, but unfortunately the entrees were mediocre given the price point.

Great quality food, service, and ambience. Absolutely love eating here and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere new to experience.

We've been here before and had a good experience. Never great, always pricey, but decent food. My daughter picked this for her 12th birthday dinner. The overall experience was so disappointing. The service was mediocre -- the waiter had another large table in another room, so we received very little attention. The appetizers came out before the drinks. I had to find someone to bring over salt. No one came by after the food was delivered to ask us how it was or if we wanted cheese. Then, there was the food. Ordered the gnocchi with truffle sauce -- meh. Caesar salad -- no anchovies. I asked and was told we could add them for an upcharge. We asked if the pasta was homemade and were told "yes." My son's spaghetti was rubbery and flavorless. My daughter's margherita pizza had no fresh mozzarella and was the crust was dry and chewy like cardboard. The pricey lobster ravioli was cold and uneventful. The expensive steak special was okay -- but the mashed potatoes were grainy and flavorless. My mom's risotto was tasteless and mushy. They did bring my daughter a dessert for her birthday but left so quickly that no one else was able to order anything. After we paid the $350 bill (had 2 glasses of wine and a whiskey and they charged us for soda water from the fountain tap), my son was still hungry and asked for more bread. They told us there would be a charge. Sadly. We won't be back. This place has so much potential but lacks the ability to execute and deliver good food for a reasonable price.

Great job with seating us quickly for our reservation and the server's recommendations were good.

The restaurant was empty for lunch. My guest and myself ordered the same thing - Salmon Salad priced at $28 The salmon was served in thin strips that was overcooked and dried out! Unable to swallow without liquid. Needed to hunt down the waiter to take our order and later give us the check. Very, very disappointing! I have been using Il Fornaio for over 20 years when meeting friends from Los Angles.

Il Fornaio is for sure a luxury place to dine, love how spacious it is, while they still have the Italian details in both their environment and food.

Let's start from their Caesar Salad 🥗, the lemon taste of the sauce lighten up the entire dish, the bread crunches is the highlight.

The blueberry sauce of fillet mignon, gives you the Italian dessert type of delicacy, the only thing I will make a suggestion is that if they can take out the ginger from the sauce, will be perfect.
