This bakery is superb! The owner inclusive was able to do scones for me without adding sugar, all natural. The quality of the pastries are exceptional. I keep going back and never dissapointed.

Seriously? What a disappointment! The reviews gave me great hope; I've passed this place so many times and it's exciting to think there was a gem just sitting there which I'd overlooked. But no. smh. I ordered jut 4 items in part because they didn't look great. They were all thrown into a paper bag so the linzer cookies which are delicate and with powdered sugar on them got all over the two heavy items, a rugelach and filled cookie. The linzer cookies were ok but way too big and heavy, with just a gross thick glop of jelly in the middle. Nothing fine about this - who wants to eat a big glop of jelly? It should be rendered fruit. But no. And then as if you hadn't gotten enough gloppy jelly, the filled cookie was the same, just wrapped with the jelly-glop inside and nuts on the outside. Fell apart, ok just not very good. I need my calories to be more special than this! The rugelach was just silly. That is not rugelach. I know everyone has their special image of it, but this isn't anyone's I can't imagine. Just heavy, pretty tasteles surprisingly - same crumbly dough as the other items - and crumbly is not what rugelach is supposed to be. It was all just disappointing. Not terrible. And thankfully not horrifically overpriced as many places are these days. But there was nothing among these I needed; nothing worth the $ or calories. ::sigh:: - back to searching for something worthwhile to eat in MB.

Stuff your face!!! Best bakery in Manhattan Beach. The cream puffs!!!! Enough said! Ever since we moved to Simi Valley, this place is one of the reasons we go back time and time again! Everything was delightfully delicious.

Needed a last minute cake for my husband’s birthday and came in to see Ernesto and walked out of Lido with the most gorgeous double fudge cake! We had 40 guests for dinner and everyone raves about the quality of the chocolate shavings and frosting and the rich flavor of the cake and filling! I can’t believe I almost picked up a grocery store cake - so glad a co-worker suggested Lido! I will be sure to order in advance in the future - definitely will be back and will send all my friends!

What terrible customer service. The guy we spoke to on the phone was probably the rudest person ever. We asked to order a small cake to ideally pick up Sunday and laughed at us and said you should look at our business hours. I would highly recommend giving your business to another bakery that appreciates their customers.

Where have I been? My sister ordered a cake from here and it was so good. I decided to order one for my husband and the gentleman working suggested the berries and cream and it was a hit. I also bought other pastries and they we're so good.

We ordered a cake for a wedding shower and it was BEAUTIFUL. They were so nice and made a custom box for our tiered cake. I bought a 9 inch fondant cake and dozen cupcakes in Wichita and paid the same as this gorgeous tiered cake (that served easily triple the other). Just buy their cake!
