Food is amazing here, each of our main dishes were spectacular. Service is on top of things and ambiance is pretty good too. One of our fav Italian restaurants, not sure why it’s not rated higher!

Dinner with friends brought us back to Mangiamo after quite some time. We started with some of the specials: corn chowder (great) and stuffed zucchini blossoms (okay). Then onto our entrees:veal parmigiana (good), pappardelle bolognese (okay), the chicken pasta special (very good) and the petrale sole with shrimp risotto special (would not order again). We passed on dessert. Overall, service was good but honestly, food was not as good as I remember.

Mangiamo's is iconic, been going there for over 30 years. Food was and is fantastic, service is great (if a little rushed), but when did the decibel level reach rock concert levels.

Always enjoy it here. All staff make you feel welcome and at home. Food has been consistent after stumbling during covid(every restaurant did) and i think it's an actual value compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood.

We ordered the puttanesca pasta and were quite surprised, as it came almost without sauce — just olives and capers — and felt very dry. Everywhere we've had puttanesca before, including in Italy, it's served with a tomato-based sauce. My vodka pasta was good, but my husband's dish was disappointing. Just a note for those expecting a more traditional puttanesca.

What really sets Mangiamo apart is the staff. A huge shoutout to Nikki, who was an amazing bartender, and Frank, a staple here for over 30 years. Frank was accommodating as always and truly makes you feel at home.

Always love a night at Mangiamo, Good drinks and fabulous food. Fresh fish and great specials, Tuna Tartar, Crab crusted Halibut and molten lava cake dessert are favorites.

We've been going to Mangiamo regularly since our first visit in 1988. The food is dependably good every time, the staff are great, it's like home.

While Mangiamo is an established Manhattan Beach restaurant, it is still a great restaurant and certainly relevant in beach cities dining choices. Elegant ambiance, fantastic service with reasonable pricing for their offerings make it an excellent choice for special dinners or a very nice meal for no occasion at all. My wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary at Mangiamo since it was our first official date almost 35 years ago and the restaurant was just as we remembered it to be when we first went there. We'll be back to try more on their menu, our food was delicious, service was great and ambiance delightful.

Amazing place for a quick bite or a first date. Amazing staff and delicious I mean delicious food. Make room for desserts it's well worth it
