Great seafood (rockfish tacos were very good) in a casual and cosy space. Service was upbeat and friendly. Good for a casual lunch or dinner (we went Monday late lunch and didn’t need to book). Just two blocks from the beach so easy for a walk on the strand afterwards.

4 of us crowded into the table right by the front door which meant people and servers were bumping into our chairs. There were multiple servers who were friendly and answered questions. We ordered the mothershucker to share. All of the seafood was prepared well on a bed of ice. Oddly enough, there was no bread or any accompaniments despite a cost of $195. We also shared key lime pie which was fine.

Decided to splurge on a work trip and my goodness was it worth it. I sat at the bar and struck up an easy conversation with Carlos as he was making drinks; he made some recommendations that I'm glad I followed. Peruvian scallop, Hamachi sashimi, and the Alaskan halibut made for an incredible meal. The food, the feel, and most importantly the people were top notch!

Was told by a friend to try here when in LA and it didn't disappoint. I had fabulous Whale Coast mussels meuniere for lunch followed by the strawberry rhubarb pie well looked after by John the barman.

We came here after seeing the menu online, I am so glad we did. I had tried to book a table online but couldnt, however, the front of house found us a table.The service was excellent from the moment we arrived, Sophie, our server could not have done more to ensure we had a great evening. We shared six dishes between us, as deciding what to have was difficult. The ceviche and shrimp tacos were amazing; as were the Peruvian scallops. We had six plates and a bottle of wine for under $200. I would recommend this place to anyone and would return for food in a heartbeat.

Best fish taco of my life! Homemade tortillas sent it over the top. Scallops were incredible too. Oh, and the key lime pie! Really everything we ordered was spectacular. You should eat here!

Revisited this restaurant and had no regrets. If anything it was better than I remembered. Very good service, a decent Albariño and a great desert. Expensive but hey, worth it.

Nice modern, ambience and staff, and fresh seafood with outdoor dining. However, I live in a southern California tourist town and am used to high prices, but $55 ($42 plus tax and tip) is just too pricey for a lobster roll. (For comparison, the lobster roll at Circle Hook on ritzy Lido Isle, Newport beach is only $24 -- counter service with outdoor seating overlooking Newport Bay.)

Want to impress someone? Get the Mothershucker tower at Fishing with Dynamite. Loaded with lobster, crab, oysters, shrimp and more, this tower was huge! I worried the tower would collapse under all the weight. Appetizers could have used more seasoning. The only negative was the outdoor seating. For a $400+ dinner I would like to have had a nicer table to make the special event feel more special.

Delicious Seafood, great selection of oysters. Small place, but outdoor seating with heaters works. Their signature dish is the seafood tower and ...while pricy it's worth it. Crab cake is a bit overpriced imho based on size and content, but still tasty.

Consistently excellent reservation management for such a tiny spot. Food is so fresh. We had oysters, ceviche , wonderful white wine and then clam chowder , swordfish and blue crab sandwich.. wonderful. Thank you .

So, yesterday two friends of mine and me decided to go for a dinner at this restaurant. First of all, absolutely freezing in the dining room. Second of all, we were not introduced to the menu at all. We had servers changing on us as they choose to. We ordered an shareable appetizer, 1/2 pound shrimp. I have ordered the tuna entree as well as one of my friends, the other one ordered Alaskan Halibut. We have received the whine we order after about 15min waiting. Than about 10 minutes later, the entrees arrived, without the appetizer coming first. After addressing it to one of the servers, they just brought the appetizer on the table regardless, literally just shoved it on the table, without serving any side plates. The appetizer shrimp was shocking. Straight out of freezer, we were not advised we are getting raw shrimp! The main course okay on cooked side, a bit bland, and the side was a lot on the sour side. For a Michelin star restaurant I expected alot more! Than the most unimaginable situation happened. Again, we had a change of server, which way i think the restaurant leader/manager. Before getting the desert, the server decided to take the napkin from my friend, to wipe the drips that were on table. I have never ever seen this disgusting practice in my life. I used to work in hospitality industry and this is an absolute NO. Continuing, we received the desert, key lime pie. It looked gorgeous, but only looked. It was WAY over sweet, so sweet that you couldn't even feel the citrus flavor of the lime. At NO time during the dinner, we were asked if any of the food was good, until we received the bill. Upon receiving it, we were asked if the food was ok. At which point my friend frowned, and was completely out of words. There was no offer of trying to compensate/ or make apologies for bad service/not satisfactory food. Only a comment of: " I hope your next experience with us is gonna be better." Seriously, instead of calling a manager and trying to manage anything, the comment is finishing for second visit? I do not know one person that is sane in the head that would want to visit it again after this horrific experience. Absolutely would NOT recommend! Complete waste of over 200$
