This review is written from the perspective of someone who absolutely loves waiting 28 minutes for food—even when there are only two other customers in the entire place. If you're a fan of burgers and fries so salty they could be used for preserving meat, you’re in for a treat. Got bacon on your burger? Don’t worry—they’ll still pile on the salt, because who needs balance? And if you prefer your fries to taste like they're being dry-cured rather than cooked, congratulations—you’ve found your spot.
I actually don't like any of the above qualities in a restaurant. I have just forbidden myself to do any one star reviews because it is bad for business.

Ah! The food was amazing! We had a light breakfast but man were the 2 dishes we had just right! We had the Marco's Huevo with a side of potatoes! GET THE SIDE of potatoes! Thank you Liam for the suggestion and your sweet customer service!! 🙂 Also, a side of beignets for a sweet finish! I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Other dishes looked amazing but we def were feeling a lighter breakfast 🍳

Food is ridiculously over priced. This is a small beachside restaurant with at best ok food that is charging $30 for a hamburger like it’s a steakhouse. Absurd. Employees are rude to boot. Avoid this spot

I wish I could have snapped a picture of my food but it was so good that I totally forgot to do so. Food is amazing I had the chilaquiles, they are delicious! My husband had short ribs hash and he loved it as well. My kids enjoyed their meals. There are lots of food options. We were so happy we went back to try out the dinner menu which did not dissapoint!
The ambience is great. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I don't usually give reviews but when I do it's because I either I had a great experience or a terrible experience. NORTH END CAFFE IS GREAT.

So we have been here two times. Both times were great. Nacho was our server both times as well, and he is a total mensch. 👌 (hey! You recognized us from our first visit a couple months ago and we are the couple from Hawthorne! You might need to go in my personal server hall of fame.)
You won't be left unattended. Went the bottomless drink route and are worried that you won't get your monies worth? Stop. This is a great beach town, and this purveyor of delicious decadent food is not going to cheap out on that either.
All the food is made with love. And you CAN taste it. I wish we knew the names of the cooks in the back, but they are unsung heroes in my book.

North End Cafe is hands down my favorite breakfast and coffee spot in Manhattan Beach! This place has it all—from its prime location to the specialty coffees, incredible food, warm service, and chill vibe. Every time I come here, I leave happier.
Nacho, the best server on the planet, is a huge reason I love this place so much. He goes above and beyond with his friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring service. His positive attitude brightens your morning and really sets the tone for the day. If only the world had more people like him!
Must-try items? The Medici coffee is unique around here and so worth it (recommend asking it to be slightly less sweet), and the breakfast potatoes are an absolute dream. Love, love, love this gem of a cafe!
