Sidecar will forever be on another level when it comes to donuts. The Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough donut is without a doubt the best on the planet. And the basil eggs Benedict Donut is perfection in a bun.
Definitely the best donuts! Way better than Randy’s in my opinion.

The gentleman who answered my call last week was outstanding. Because I was on a short layover in LA, I did not have the chance to go in person, as with my previous trips. I, therefore, ordered through Ubereats. I was looking for an item not offered as an option and also had a question about doughnut ingredients. Although, I am certain I gave off a harried vibe, he was so pleasant and accommodating. He offered to assemble my order and said he would start prepping, so the delivery driver could grab and go. My entire order was in perfect condition when I received it. Thank you so much! Thank you also for including the store receipt, so that I know how outrageous the sum of fees I paid for delivery were! YIKES. Hopefully, Sidecar will one day offer local delivery, so that the well-deserved profits can stay in house.

While I was in Los Angeles, I was recommended to check out this spot after I mentioned checking out one of the more touristy LA donut places. I really enjoyed my donuts from sidecar, they were fresh, and the flavors offered were phenomenal. The butter & salt and the cinnamon crumb were my two favorite. The inside of the donut shop was cute and very clean as well, service superb and they even let us try samples of the donuts. I definitely recommend checking out this place for a sweet treat.

Cute donut shop and they have a GF option each week! This was such a treat. They have a variety of unique flavors and the shop itself is cute. They also have good cold brew coffee. Wish they had locations in NorCal!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options
Got an Apple fritter and it wasn't anything special. It looked like a flat, brown blob. No nooks or crannies that you would usually find in an Apple fritter. It was slightly burned so the dough was dry. Would not recommend.Also got the glazed vanilla bean. That, too, was nothing special for the price. Tasted better than the Apple fritter but that's not saying much. Overall I'd stick with Randy's or The Donuttery in Huntington Beach. Much tastier!

So every time I go to the side car. I feel like the customer service could be a lot better. I ordered drinks that were prepared wrong, and then I asked them to remake it, and instead of just letting me keep the incorrect drink.....they threw it away and remade it. It's very small things like that make me confused. Why waste it....when you could have given me to drinks and I would have been so grateful.I once also ordered a donut that took 30 minutes to make... they kept forgetting I was there and didn't offer me a free donut or coffee for the wait. I really like this place, but I feel the staff needs to go a little more above and beyond for their customers.I worked for a bakery in the area, and the customer service was much better and more consistent!
I've been wanting to try this place for years now. This place had a lot of cyber hype back in 2016, but it seems like the donuts didn't really live up to the hype. For the price that this establishment charges for just a single donut, you'd expect them to be extraordinarily delicious. The catch is that they're not. I had the eggnog walnut donut and the flavors didn't stand out. My boyfriend got the Vanilla Bean glazed donut and it tasted average. Safe to say that 99% of small mom and pop donut shops that doy LA are way better than this place and give you more bang for your buck. There was one thing that stood out about this place: their coffee. I must say that even though the donuts didn't knock my socks off, the coffee was very delicious. The Black Onyx Mocha was the best mocha coffee I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet and it had a deep rich chocolatey flavor. The barista provided us with better service than the cashier did. Even though the donuts weren't anything spectacular (especially given the price), I'd be willing to give it another try when I have a bit more to splurge.

Pricey but worth it once and awhile.Their attention to detail is phenomenal, presentation and handling of your order is worth the trip and money.Sherman waited on me this morning, he was super nice, very knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. Very nicely dressed and was ready for a hard day, especially starting when he did at O Dark 30.Nice dealing with young gentleman like Sherman!
