Beautiful environment with top notch service and a killer happy hour. Love edge wood bar is beautiful as is the rest of the decor. They are run by the same people as boa steakhouse next door. Food is very good - real wasabi came with my sashimi without request. But nothing remarkable. Really awesome value for date night and the environment and service won't disappoint.

This restaurant saved my family birthday dinner! We have reservations at a neighboring restaurant and then were told there were multiple parties ahead of us and just overall treated unwelcoming. We walked over to Sushi Roku and were met by the most kind hostesses. After informing them it was my birthday the whole staff made the entire night feel special. The food was excellent, all the sushi tasted super fresh and I had an amazing time. Our server Paloma was super attentive, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. If you like sushi/Asian cuisine this is an excellent place to celebrate! I will be returning.

Outstanding lunch at Roku in Manhattan Beach.
The food was phenomenal, and my lunch date and I ended up ordering two extra portions of food just because it tasted so good. The fish and meat were fresh, there were inventive combinations (truffle salmon!), and my matcha tea was lovely.
The service was nothing short of spectacular. Our waiter was lovely, and made us feel incredibly welcome. She even brought out a free dessert!
On top of everything, I’m gluten free, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my meal was safe. They even notified me as to potential cross contamination items on the menu, brought gluten free soy sauce immediately, and made a point to double check and inform me (without prompting) that my dishes were in fact celiac safe each time they came out. I haven’t been able to safely consume spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls for a long time, so that was an unexpected surprise.
All in all, what a treat! I would happily return, and would encourage anyone else to give this place a go!
