Allie, was above and beyond with her customer service and very proffesional. I ordered the Tomahawk Steak and Jose cooked that thing to perfection. Food was Delicious and presentation was Amazing.

Food excellent. Service outstanding. Ambience, beautiful. We sat at the fire pit table and started with the seafood platter that was amazingly fresh. The oysters were pre-dressed and needed nothing else. The tuna crudo was one of the best I’ve ever had. The lobster roll was packed!

The seafood here rivals FWD. So fresh and delicious. I loved the ceviche in the seafood platter and the clam chowder (smoky, spicy with bits of bacon). Had the steak sandwich and furikake fries which were both perfectly done. Also, the place is beautifully built out. Hello outdoor seating which we need more of in Manhattan Beach. We also were lucky enough to get a fire pit table!

Great addition to Manhattan beach. We had the seafood platter, prime steak sandwich, striped sea bass and lobster roll. All the food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommend. We need more restaurants with outdoor open air seating.

Nice place for a casual dinner. The food was a bit overdone for my taste, but my dining companions enjoyed it. Service was very friendly but they seemed overworked. The best part of our meal for me was desert, so save room.

I recently visited this place during happy hour and had a mixed experience. The food was good, and the prices were fair, especially for the happy hour specials. However, the service left much to be desired.

The restaurant has some kind of shutters to block the sun, and when we tried to adjust them manually, one of the staff members rudely informed us that they were electric and very expensive. Instead of offering to help or adjust the shutters for us, he simply told us to move to a table in the shade, without any offer to assist in relocating. This lack of attentiveness and the rude manner in which we were spoken to definitely dampened the experience.

While the food and pricing were satisfying, the service needs improvement. A little more consideration for customer comfort would go a long way in making this a place I’d want to return to.

The place wasn't full, people were eating and drinking. But they wouldn't let me in because "they were not sitting anyone at the moment".
When restaurants give weird explanations like this, I tend to suspect a discriminatory policy.

Grim is a lovely host, genuine, funny and super customer friendly. Based on some of the suggestions for lunch we weren't disappointed!! Beer selection is great and the food was amazing!!

I didn’t realize there The Hook & Plow had a location in Manhattan Beach! Very nice spot and I like the layout more compared to the Hermosa Beach location. Service was friendly and gave us hot water after our open water swim. They also have a cool seating area out front with a fireplace. Definitely will keep that in mind when fall comes around next. I got their Breakfast Platter and was happy with it. Classic items and well cooked! Good spot along Manhattan Beach to try out if you haven’t before.
