So overall place is okay and if you live nearby or are walking distance or maybe going to/coming from beach, I would add a star. There is quite a bit of outdoor seating if you have a dog. The place is somewhat small and is fairly clean, our food was served hot and the amount of food we received seemed right. We were happy we got water with our coffee. My pancakes were actually good, I would give those 4 stars because it was full of chocolate chips and they were fluffy and I got butter on the side. My husband got his normal omelette, but the food was to greasy and he didn't even finish his plate or even ask for hot sauce. I noticed that hash browns were on side, I asked if I could get them with onions and cheese, but I guess you can only get them plain or the ones listed in menu without adjustments. That was a little disappointing. We also came near opening time on Saturday morning, we were a tad bit surprised how many families with young children were already there. Usually we don't mind, but place is not the biggest, so it was a little more noiser than we expected.

Nov 2024- Ya’ll the cinnamon Apple pancakes were so fluffy and delicious! My sister and I will definitely be back to try more breakfast items. We sat outside and enjoyed the rain and people ambiance. Pet friendly (outdoors). Get by there soon and enjoy some good eats!

Uncle Bill’s was nice for a casual breakfast. The food was tasty, the service was decent, and the atmosphere was cozy. Nothing extraordinary, but a solid spot if you’re in the area and craving breakfast.

We made a return to Bill's when we visited in August of this year, and it was just as enjoyable as when we went years ago when we lived in LA. The food (especially the pancakes) was just as delicious as i remembered, and the staff was still wonderfully friendly. I will continue to make a stop there when I visit LA. Much appreciation to those who continue to make it special after so may years.

Despite the queue in front of the shop, we got a table quickly. Service is almost intrusive and takes the drinks before you are seated. You only have a moment to look at the map. The food is delicious, but the portion is far too small for the price. Without asking if you would like to order anything else, the bill is slammed onto the table without comment. Very disappointing.

The fresh toast was great, and the strawberries were very fresh. The eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection w cheese. They do serve turkey bacon. Great breakfast spot w outdoor seating area.

Uncle Bill’s Pancake House is a staple and institution of the Manhattan Beach area with cheap, delicious food and friendly, almost Southern-like service. The beachy-diner vibes speak well to the aura of this place, outside it feels coastal and So-Cal but once inside it feels as though you stepped inside a roadside diner in middle America.
They deserve their namesake as the pancakes were perfectly buttery and fluffy. The bacon crisp and the eggs runny and fried at the same time. Coffee was exceptional. The price was even better, for three plates it was under 55$, really rare for the LA metro area. The wait was under 30 minutes at peak hours for a table for three, and the service was hospitable. Will definitely go back again 8.5/10

Breakfast was pretty good, nothing special or memorable, but service was very slow. We had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated for a Sunday brunch and then once seated we waited quite a bit to place our order and then also after finishing, we waited another long time to grab our bill and be able to head out. Also we sat outside and the tables are very small and the chairs are not very comfortable so I would strongly recommend sitting inside. They don’t have a parking lot, but parking is pretty easy to find in this part of town. We were able to find a metered spot a block away. Our server was very polite when she came over, but there were long wait times in between everything else. I really liked how large the menu was, and it does have a lot of great options, but did not have my favorite breakfast dish, which is the Eggs Benedict. The options here are more simple and straight forward compared to diner options.
I chose the Mitch’s Scramble for my meal and thought it was actually really good. The green chilies and cream cheese are a great combination and I would definitely recommend ordering it to anybody. I added avocado which I thought made it even better. The hashbrowns on the side were just OK, not nearly as crispy as I like them and the pancakes were good but nothing special. I ordered them because of the restaurant’s name but going back a second time I would just get toast.
Overall a fairly good breakfast spot in Manhattan Beach although I like The Kettle just down the street a lot more.
