We were excited to try Fete Bistro - here is what we thought. The atmosphere and ambiance wonderful! Pita and hummus very delicious. French Onion Soup excellent. Both of our entrees were average. Salmon with fries - too much lemon in the sauce. Fries good. Steak with béarnaise sauce and fries good. The service was fine, not great which one would expect at a Slay restaurant. All in all - I would go back, not necessarily for the entrees, but atmosphere and French Onion Soup.

Maybe Valentine's Day dinner is not the best time to write a review but... Food: Main courses were 50/50 - mussels were fresh and yummy; the coq au vin chicken was dry and a tad over cooked but the vin sauce was tasty. The deviled eggs appetizer was disappointing as it tasted like it was made the day before. Service was solid and attentive. The interior needs some sound dampening as the main dining area is way too loud. You have to almost yell to carry on a conversation because everyone is doing the same.

The bartenders were so accommodating, remaking a drink for me when the second one came completely different from the first and then gave it to me complementary after coming to my table to explain and apologize!

Having grown up on French food, mostly Julia Child recipes, I found the food bland and unexciting. The escargot was bland, the sauce was flavorful, but they neglected to put the lemon garlic butter in the snail shells and swirling it in the sauce didn't help. The lamb was cooked perfectly, but was bland which was a real disappointment and there's a lack of vegetables sides other than green beans. The dolmatas were very good as was the crème brûlée. We liked the ambiance and the service was very good too! A bit loud with a speaker right above your head at most of the tables the dining area. Definitely room for improvement and such an opportunity for flavor that was missed.

The food was OUTSTANDING! I had trout almondine, after the house made hummus. Delicious! Our server was also very good and attentive. The only negative thing I can say is about the noise level: it was the same as being at an outdoor arena concert! This appears to be a fine dining establishment and this took away from our dining experience. It became so stressful for me that I had to make earplugs out of paper napkins to plug my ears.., it was very difficult to have a conversation, to hear, or be heard. I would try again only if I could find a quieter place to sit.

One of the most wonderful dining experiences I've had in a very long time! Delicious food, beautiful decor, and a friendly and attentive staff. Chef, David Slay is a master magician in the kitchen!

Service was erenest but ameturish, wine knowledge was severely lacking, food was ok, but also far from perfect. Alcohol mark ups were aggressive, thought I am sure that is par for the course in this area. Not a terrible option if your in laws refuse to leave thier area of residence

Overall good - but well shy of hitting the bistro feel. Service was friendly but full of mistakes and apologies with various dishes being missed or sent as the wrong course. Needing to order a la carte pita at $4 to accompany the $14 hummus felt like a bit of a reach and not quite cricket. Could become great with effort but at the price-point it's “meh” for now.

The drinks were amazing and the space is top notch?. They have DJ’s who spin vinyl on certain days too! John the manager is solid.

This was our first time at Fete Bistro, and we would definitely go back. The food was very good, the atmosphere was lively and had the vibe of a Parisian bistro. The hostess was super sweet and suggested we could wait a few minutes for a better table since we were celebrating a birthday. We had a lovely evening.

Christmas Eve dinner. Fete added tables in areas affected by foot traffic to accommodate more guests. We were seated at one of those two tables. It was a two top, but they seated 4 of us. Three out of 4 were tall guys. Our waiter was fantastic! The manager was not. He didn't talk to us or accommodate us in any way. However, very kind hostess moved us to a better table after 1 hr 45 minutes. We waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for our dinner, and not all meals came out together. Slay is a great restaurateur but two of his 3 managers in MB are awful. Not one single time did the manager approach us. Not even an offer of complimentary drinks or an apology. Our third time at this location. Knew Christmas Eve would be busy, but that's unacceptable. A good manager works the room and connects with guests. He also smooths out the bumps in the road. This manager made no effort.

Cocktails are expensive, but worth every penny. Great spot to come before a night out for dinner

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The service n the ambiance was fantastic. The crowd I ran into on Tuesday night was eclectic but super social. People from all walks of life just hanging out n having a good time. Def good vibes. Dakota (mixologist) took care of me most of the night. My guy couldn't miss. His Mezquito and Doberman were absolute bangers. Gonna be coming back soon with friends.
