We got the 8pc sushi , baked scallop roll, masago sushi, spicy gyoza , spicy garlic albacore sushi, & a cilantro yellowtail roll. Everything was soooo yummy. Definitely have to get the spicy albacore sushi!!! It knocked our off

Or Friday night sushi place, nice and fresh and quick to prepare. Tasty rolls and nigiri, everything we have had here has been fresh and thoughtfully prepared, admirable for a sushi to go place.Always a pleasure to pick up from this kitchen facing the parking lot in front of the Manhattan village. Not too be missed!

I've been here twice. The first time the food, taste old, but it was 10 minutes before closing time and I thought maybe that was why. During that time they were still open for walkins. After almost a year, I returned midday to find that there's no longer walkins and the guy was rude about me attempting to open the door. I went ahead and ordered anyway and I wish I didn't. The food tastes like public elementary school cafeteria food. I definitely will not be back.

This place never fails. I've ordered it a few times with my boyfriend and each time, the taste, smell & visual is AMAZING. Although you cannot eat at the place and order for pick up only, I highly say, the food travels well & is delicious!

Sushi is good not great, and for these prices I'm going to need them to elevate their game to get up to a 4 star. It's a hard 3.5 but closer to a 3 than to a 4 at present.I got the Spicy Rainbow and the Nigiri sampler. My issue was with the sashimi pieces. Fish was totally flavorless across the board, from tuna to salmon to yellowtail. Better than grocery store quality but that same blandless you find at the gas station. I'm not sure what the deal was, but it made both items disappointing. The Spicy Tuna was good but that's cheating. You shouldn't need to sauce up the fish to make a good roll. Willing to give another shot but I think spade is a spade here.

I usually order from the Redondo Beach Yanagi but my mom wanted a dish from Joey's across the street and so this location was the more convenient. I won't bury the punchline. Next time I'll just go out of my way. First off, man they're rude and I only had an interaction of a few seconds. Impressive. Without making eye contact the guy dropped my order on the card table and walked off. Thank you?And now the most important part of any review of a restaurant: The Food. The tempura was soggy and the spicy tuna was just ok... Nothing to write home about, though definitely something to write yelp about. ;) And everything had a very weird odor. Because I order from the Redondo location every couple of weeks, I can say that everything about this meal was uncharacteristic of how I have experienced Yanagi before this.If you're craving sushi and it has to be in Manhattan Beach, there are other better options. Try if you must, but I will not be back here again.

Good salmon, but skimped out on quantity for the salmon lovers roll with the amount of fish on top. Very thin layer. They would not help throw any trash away or direct us to a trash can nearby. Takeout or delivery only, which we didn't realize until we got there. Food was pretty tasty, except the avocado was a little too ripe. Probably wouldn't come back but did satisfy our salmon craving.
